I wake up in the hospital, splitting headache and a sore chest. I look around to see my best friends, Lilly, Keedan, and William sitting there they all looked like they haven't slept in days. Lilly is resting her head on Keedan's shoulder while William is on his phone.
"Your ok" Lilly said softly.
I nod not knowing what to say or do, I look over at Keedan he is now looking down at his phone; I look towards William who has turned his phone off and looked at me pulling a funny face, I cracked a little smile and turned back to Lilly. Lilly had moved back next to Keedan and William walked over to me, hugging me and telling me that I'm a lucky bugger, I laugh and sit up a bit more. Keedan tells me not to move too much, so I riggle around till I'm comfortable. I don't remember much of what happened, I was in school and now I'm here. I touch my side, I wince at the pain.
"What happened," I say looking at my friends.
"We were walking down the stairs when you tripped," says William through a soft smile.
"I think it was Williams fault," Lilly says laughing devilishly.
"Was not I was the one who brought her here," William says getting up angrily.
Lilly likes to make William angry sometimes for her amusement, usually when she is bored out of her mind. Lilly and William are like brother and sister all ways fighting over pathetic things.
"William calm down please, I have a headache," I said trying to calm him down.
He looks at me pain in his eyes, he calms down and pulls the chair closer to me and I rest my head on his shoulder, William is cute and all but he is like my older brother; I could never date him.
"Lilly," says Keedan looking down at her with the biggest smirk.
"Yes," Lilly says not taking her eyes off her phone.
"Do you want anything to eat," Keedan says.
"Um yeah can I have some Nutella and a spoon," Lilly says still on her phone.
"Do you guys want anything, " Keedan says looking at William and I.
"I would like an Ice coffee," says William looking down at me.
"Haha, I would like some salad," I say through giggles.
William and I have an Inside joke, he says because he will never have a girlfriend he will just date dares. He has about 5 lined up on his bedside table all labelled with girls named. One of them, of course, Is called Natashia. Because I'm William's favourite
Keedan leaves and Lilly Follows, it's only William and I now. He climbs into the hospital bed and gives me a hug, He starts singing a song he knows I hate, but I couldn't care he is my best friend and I love him.
William looks down at me and strokes my hair
We start to wonder what is taking Keedan and Lilly so long.
"What's taking them so long," I say hearing my tummy rumble.
"I don't know....," will starts to say as Lilly and Keedan came through the door
"food's here," says Lilly with a smile on her face.
William is sitting next to me and Lilly is sharing her Nutella with Keedan, Lilly and Keedan have been dating a long time; it's been nearly a year I think can't remember, but I still remember the day Lilly come up to me and said that she liked this boy, and then that very same day Keedan come up to me and told me he liked this girl. About 2 weeks later they were dating and William and I where left third-wheeling. William gives me a sip of his dare and then turns to see Lilly and Keedan kissing. He covers my eyes, I can't help but giggle. I pull his hands away from my face, I don't want to see Keedan and Lilly kissing; I just want to see William squirm.
I grab William's hand, I felt something go through me. Am I starting to have feelings for William, I sit there and think I feel William's hand tighten in mine. I snap out of my train of thought and see my salad on my lap.
"Thank you Keedan," I say giving him a smile
"Don't mention it," Keedan says nodding back
I sit up and look at my salad, but I'm not hungry I push it aside and William looks at me sternly.
"Natashia, you need to eat," William says pushing my food back in front of me.
"I'm not hungry" I say looking up at him.
He looks at me and smiles, I feel my cheeks go red and then realise that the feeling I felt before wasn't because I was hungry it was because I have feelings for William. Lilly and Keedan leave and it's just William and I in the hospital room.
"Natashia what's wrong, you haven't eaten your food and you love salad," William whispers.
"Nothing is wrong William I'm just not hungry," I say looking down.
"You always eat you food Natashia, you're a bottomless pit," William says poking my belly.
I can't help but giggle under his touch.
"Stop, that tickles," I say squirming.
William grabs me and pulls me into a hug, he kissed my forehead and lays back down next to me, I can feel the warmth from his body on my bare skin. I look up and he is already looking at me, he smiles at me and I can feel my cheeks go red. Then he goes red as well.
"Hey Natashia," William says in my ear.
I don't answer I'm to busy looking at him to realise he is even speaking to me.
"Will you go out with me," William says grabbing my hand.
The thing is I don't want to go out with William it would ruin our friendship if we ever were to go out and we were to break up, friendship gone. William coughs signalling he needs an answer.
"William, believe me I would love to but what if we break up, there goes our friendship out the window," I say into his shoulder
