"What were you doing here, child?"
"I..." Lost for words, India tried to put the pictures in her head into order, "I don't know. There was screaming, and then... then... I'm not sure. Maybe if you could ring my..."
"Ring who, honey?"
India looked up to glare at the young woman in the dark coat. She knew she was only trying to help, but it didn't make any sense; The demon out side her room; The high pitched screaming; And then finally waking up here, at Mrs Canith's house, bombarded by questions she didn't have answers to.
"Oh, I don't know. Ring, someone?" It was more pleading than a question, but the woman shifted around to her colleague, Detective Beaston.
"Hand me the phone, could you?" The order was for-filled almost immediately, by the sleepy, dark haired man standing at a table. He grunted while doing so.
"Thanks." Sharp thought India. "Okay, who do you wanna ring, then?"
"I don't know," was the mumbled response.
"Right, well I'm going to ring for someone to come and look after you." She look at India for approval, before dialing a quick number into the system.
"Yes.. Hello?... Yes, this is Penny Woodslip... Um... Can I talk to Peter please?... Peter Saralse... Okay thanks then." Penny glared at the phone in her hand, "They really need to realize who their bosses are."

The silence was a steel drum, beating down on him. The darkness, screaming at him to run.

Where were the street lamps, the cars, the sludgy pavements for him to walk apon? Where had Derrick gone, the idiotic drunk?

"Wakey-wakey, rise and shine."
The lights flickered on to reveal Simon strapped to a chair. Closer inspection, just in the shadows, a shady figure, leaning in, ready to pounce on its prey.
"Did you have a good sleep?"
The figure stepped forward to reveal himself. Simons eyes widened, in horror.
"I thought that, well, maybe we could spend some time to get to know each other a bit more."
"No, please. I'm sorry, so, so sorry. Please."
His pleading did little to affect the young man, now moving spiral around him. If anything, he seemed to smile.
"Oh, come on! Wheres the fun in that, huh?" His arm movement revealed gun. Just a small one, but a gun at that.
"Please! Please, I'll do anything! Please!"
Now right by his head the young man whispered, "You know you cant do anything about it. A deals, a deal. After all, you should have expected this to happen sooner or later."
Darknes swallowed the room again, but was somewhat greeted.
"Make yourself at home; you should know exactly where you are."
