He coughed, his illness raking through his body, raking through it like claws of death. Pain was overwhelming, in and out. His eyes blurred until everything seemed to darken around him. He blinked away the tears brought forward by the pain. Stumbling forward, he took steps closer to Sasuke who was leaning against the concrete behind him, seemingly awaiting death as he accepted defeat albeit taking it hard.
Foolish little brother. Itachi lightly chuckled to himself. You're not the one dying today.
His body was weakening and slowly, he grew numb. He was close, he was fading but he was prepared. A soft smile graced his lips as the reason for his acceptance for death flashed through his mind. Her hair of light molten gold, her eyes that glimmered and resembled the turquoise of the most beautiful of seas along with the bright smile and the understanding in her eyes. Yamanaka Ino.
