My awful coals,
Simmering quietly,
They beg me to burn,
They beg me to join them.Snowflake ashes,
Burn crisp on my tongue,
Your kisses dissolve me,
My love doomed to die young. The pain you present me,
Designed on a platter,
I take it, you hold me,
You tell me I matter. My ashes you hold,
Left cold, my heart shatters,
You've burned me again,
You've left me in tatters. The heat that you hold,
Warms my still heart,
It beats yet again,
You've made it restart. The lights flicker in my presence,
Inviting the darkness in,
I hold my hands and pray again,
That you punish me for my sin.
