THE MIDORIYA HOUSEHOLD'S TELEVISION LIT UP AS THE NEWS PLAYED. It seemed like every news station, no matter the other events going on in the world or what's happening regarding politics, they all talked about the same thing. The rise in deaths from what seemed to be brutal murder or cannibalism. Nobody for sure could figure out exactly what it had been, but it had been reported numerous times that someone had found a dead, bloody body but were not able to find it before the police or ambulance could arrive to the scene.

Lots of people feared for their lives — the majority of people in New York are merely average working citizens, and usually don't have to worry about pandemics like this, but now that it has occurred, nobody knows what to think. Police officers, hospital workers, and in general, all government officials have tried their best to understand the situation and aid people in this regard. However, nobody can figure out exactly what is happening, which leads to the general public going into panic mode.

"Citizens of America, there is no need to worry! Information will come out as soon as possible," one police officer said on the news.

"All laws are still to be kept in tact; please do not use your quirks in the streets and in public without a permit or without being advised by someone with one. If you're being attacked and you need it for self defense, then you may use it if it is an emergency."

Izuku looked over at his mother, who was sitting on the couch and biting her nails. He sighed solemnly, because of this pro-heroes have been lots more busy, so that meant him and the rest of his peers that attend the same hero school aren't being placed into dorms. None of the teachers have been coming into work as much, since most of them are heroes, so now the students moving day is to be postponed until further notice.

Of course, another shame was that people were being helplessly killed.

As Izuku's mother started to bounce her leg up and down, he went to check up on her.

"Are you okay, mom?" He asked.

She quickly snapped her head around before she took her thumbnail out of her mouth, "I'm fine, Izuku. Everything is going to be alright, really. Plus, if anything happens, you'll always be here to protect me, right? My strong baby!" She half-joked. Both of them knew she wasn't really joking.

Izuku flashed her a soft smile as a comfortable silence filled the air. Izuku decided to break the silence and change the subject a bit.

"It's a real shame moving into the dorms was held back for a bit."

Inko Midoriya didn't say anything back to her son, she simply just nodded and smiled on instinct, still staring at the television.
