„That went more smoothly than I expected", Torstein grinned when he stepped out of the house.
Hannah followed close and furrowed her brows, when she noticed a slight drizzle coming from the sky.
"Norwegian summer is definitely not the same as German summer", she murmured.
"It's way too hot in your country!"
"There isn't something like 'too hot'", Hannah smirked. She pulled her beanie closer to her face.
"So, where do I send the papers to sign for you?", he asked while they made their way to the underground station.
"Ähm, that's a bit difficult", she started, "in three weeks I'm going to Scotland for a year and I don't know my address yet."
"What you're doing over there?", Torstein shoot her a surprised glance.
"I volunteer for a year in an emergency shelter in a homeless people organisation."
The Norwegian stopped in his tracks.
"You worked for a year in Africa in a school, studied political science and are now going to volunteer for homeless people. You're a fucking saint."
Hannah blushed. "No, I'm not."
She kept on walking. "I just refuse to face the reality of the hard job market, so...I'm taking a time out."
"Huh. What does your boy thinks?"
Hannah crinkled her nose. "Well, he continues with his Master straight ahead and as a the nice boyfriend he is, he supports me, but actually... he does not like it, I guess."
"Well, he just don't want to be away from you."
"I know." She seemed annoyed.
"Can you maybe bring me back to my hostel, please? Because I have like no idea, where we are right now."
Torstein laughed and just put an arm around Hannahs shoulders. " 'Course", he snickered.
Torstein was in a middle of telling a story about his friend Craig McMorris and a giant dog in Bali,
when he saw how Hannahs face glided from laughing to pale.
"Crap", she interrupted him and forced him by his arm in the next alley.
"What the hell?", he asked. Hannah stood straight against the wall and pressed her eyes together tightly. Then she opened them again and shoot a small glance around the corner.
"Scheiße", she said and turned away again.
"What's there?", Torstein said and dared to take a look as well. On the steps of the Hostel he spotted a man. He was tall with brown hair, a bag to his feets. The Norwegian furrowed his brows questionably at Hannah.
"That's Chris", she finally said.
"That's...not the best way to react, when you see your boyfriend." He folded his arms.
"We kinda fought. That's why I headed spontaneously to Norway."
"Ah", Torstein made, but didn't know what else to say.
"Ok, I'll be a grown-up girl now and talk to him like an adult", Hannah mumbled and straightened herself.
"What did you guys fought about?"
She looked uncomfortable.
"Well", she struggled, "he kinda proposed?"
"He did what?", gasped Torstein surprised. "And you didn't say yes?"
"Obviously not", the German girl said with rolling eyes.
"I thought you love him?"
"I do, it's just...he has our whole life so much planned out", she whined a little. "He is the most lovely, nice guy ever, but he has a total lack of any spontaneity. And he just freaks out, that I'm leaving for a year and that seriously shouldn't be a reason to get married."
"Poor guy", Torstein stated. The poor fellow seems madly in love and the second he wanted to catch his dream girl, Hannah just ran away.
"Hey! I am your wife, you should be on my side!"
"Ow, I just want you to be happy", he grinned, "So, and now I want to get to know this boy. As your husband I have to see with whom you betraying me."
"No!", Hannah yelled and grabbed his arm to stop him from walking on the main road again.
"Why not?", he asked surprised.
"Cause it will totally end my relationship, when he sees you! He'll think I run straight to Norway to cheat on him."
"Really, that will be his first thought? What is he, one of those jealous jerks?"
Hannah kept quiet.
"Is he?", Torstein asked more fiercely. The girl just shrugged her shoulders.
"Boy, good luck with him."
He had his encounters with jealous boyfriends and their were just annoying as hell in his eyes.
"Can you go? Please?", Hannah looked at him with pleading eyes, her hands still resting on his arm.
"Fine", he said while rolling his eyes.
"I'll contact you as soon as the divorce papers are ready to sign, ok?"
"Sounds perfect. It was lovely to marry you", Hannah said.
"You too", Torstein cracked a smile and got into a surprised hug, when the German girl pulled her arms around him.
"Take care", she said, gave him a peek on his cheek and vanished on the road before he had another chance to say anything.
Looking at the spot in front of him, where she stood just seconds ago, he shook his head.
Well, that have been some crazy 24 hours.
This chapter is actually so lame, I might upload the next one sooner to compensate ;)
