Chapter 4 - Blue! The color of strength

This is unreal! Saiki was mesmerized by the displays in the supermarket.
Coffee-Jelly for 80 yen! There is no way it's real. I've got enough money to buy at least 300 of them! That means... Coffee-Jelly for a whole year.
He looked at his money, apparently, the clone he had transferred into had a job and an apartment, he only found it out as he got called by some kind of manager who then screamed into his ears about not attending for the job. The problem was that he didn't have a way to get money, so this was the only money he had left. Wasting it on Coffee-Jelly was an option, but not a good one for sure. UA had dorm rooms so he at least knew where to stay. As Saiki went out of the shop holding a package of Jelly, he decided to go back to the rooms to meet up with his teachers, there was some training supposed to happen today which he wasn't allowed to miss. It was a good option to try out his abilities with pyrokinesis, after all, he doesn't use them very often. Maybe I should teleport into my room, no one should be there anyway, it's still very early in the morning. A second later he arrived in his room, which he kept as plain and boring as possible. He had a bookshelf, a bed, a desk with a chair and a closet for clothes he didn't own. He put down the Coffee-Jelly package onto his desk and sat down to review the things that happened yesterday. While eating and swooning at the taste of his favorite dessert, he thought about how to resolve the problems with his teacher and Bakugo. Furthermore, he thought about how to get money, a job was an option but he didn't know how to apply for one, robbing someone was out of the question too. He could teleport into a bank vault and take some money, but even though this world isn't his, he didn't want to turn criminal. Why does the criminal side have to be the easy one? He thought, finishing his last spoon of Jelly. I have to get going, I'll ask Aizawa if there could be a solution to this. Maybe it will help him trust me a little. Saiki scratched his head, put on his new UA uniform and went outside his room just to instantly be greeted by his classmates who just got up as well. "Yo, Saiki, right? How was your first day here?" Iida turned towards him with a comforting smile on his face. "It's messy but I'm getting used to it." Saiki said telepathically. "Well, if you ever need help, come to me. But now let's get ready for class!"

As the class arrived on the training grounds of UA, Aizawa and another teacher Saiki didn't recognize were waiting for them at the gate. "You're finally here, now listen. Today's training will focus on your ability to save a hostage on urban grounds with possibly no destruction." No destruction? Has the teacher forgotten Bakugo is in this class? Thoughts of the class made one thing clear, teaming up with Bakugo would draw attention and cause failure. So in advance, Saiki made sure to pick a different team, he asked Midoriya and Iida who had also added Todoroki to their team, the second fire-type. Todoroki glanced at Saiki for having similar abilities as his dad, but he didn't seem to want to talk about that so he never really confronted him. "Has everyone teamed up? Well then, Bakugo's team goes first!" This was unwanted by the class, but to memorize a pattern on how to save hostages as a hero, Saiki saw it as an advantage to learn and advance.
After a few battles with robot AI on the field, trying to save an old lady pretending to be a hostage, Bakugo's team finally saved her. Well, after a few buildings collapsed in an explosion but that didn't surprise anyone. "Next up will be Midoriyas team!" Tch, already? I didn't learn a lot from that. Saiki thought, but his team had already created a strategy which was pretty good in Saiki's opinion. Todoroki would freeze the enemies while Midoriya and Iida rush through the enemy lines to get the hostage as fast as possible. Meanwhile, Todoroki and Saiki would destroy the AI and ensure a safe extraction. He loved the idea, now he wouldn't stand in the focus.  As they appeared on the battlefield everyone was excited to see Saiki and Todoroki in the same place to compare their powers. But Saiki was going to let Todoroki beat him anyway, everything he wanted was an average result out of this test.
As the test began everyone out of his team started running towards the corner of a building and hid in the darkness of an alley to check the situation, Midoriya got to word first „Okay Saiki, Todoroki, we'll rely on your abilities for the breakthrough, can you clear the way?" Both nodded, even though Saiki wasn't sure how to handle his ability in a fight. What a pain, but I have to do it. Saiki suddenly heard something behind him, he quickly turned around to see nothing. „What's wrong Saiki?" He shook his head, he only felt a presence coming from the darkness of the alleyway, but he couldn't read it telepathically. It was as if Nendou just popped into the world, it scared Saiki. Maybe I'm imagining things, probably...hopefully. Saiki was not going to let him get bothered by it and fail the test for everyone else.
Shortly after everyone got ready everyone rushed into a bank lookalike, the hostage was in the basement vault of the building, surrounded by robots. Using Clairvoyance he had already checked out the place, in case there was anything that could go wrong he needed a way to know how to finish the mission. As they arrived at the entrance Todoroki froze the enemies in front of them while Saiki melted the ones at the side into liquid metal. Todoroki rose his eyebrows, he didn't expect Saiki's fire to melt a steel robot, it would mean that his flame is extremely hot. It matched the abilities of his father.
Shortly after Midoriya and Iida rushed into the building, past the waves of robots coming towards their other two team members, it was an easy task to do, the rescue itself was the hardest. And just like that, all cameras in the observing room went to Midoriya. „When we're done here we should follow them!" Todoroki shouted at Saiki in the midst of casting his ice. All of a sudden a robot broke through his ice catching Todoroki totally off guard, „Shit!" to back him up Saiki used his left hand to throw a lunar shaped line of fire towards him, all while continuing to defeat enemies with his right. It was impressive, using both at the same time while being so calm. 'This guy is impressive' Todoroki thought picking up the fight again. Good grief, now I have to save people as well. Saiki got slightly bored fighting these enemies, but he had to be persistent. They finished the robots in no time, but they still heard crashing down in the basement, so Todoroki decided to go and help out. Suddenly Saiki felt the presence again There it is again, but it's close by this time. -
„Todoroki wait for a second! I think there's something here." He stopped in his place immediately.
This isn't good, it could just be another robot, but robots don't have murderous intent.
„What is...SAIKI WATCH OUT!" Todoroki shouted trying to warn Saiki, but he had already evaded before a blue creature crashed into the ground leaving only rubble and ash behind. „It's a Nomu! Saiki watch out, he's dangerous!" Todoroki's ice emerged from the ground and hit the Nomu who instantly broke out and attacked him, not being able to react he got punched in the stomach hard enough to make him spit blood, covering the Nomu's face. Saiki wasn't fast enough to react either, he simply couldn't read his new opponents' thoughts. I don't know what this thing is, but it is not a part of the test. With the cameras being locked on I cannot use all of my strength. He quickly used Clairvoyance to check on the teachers only to find out that they were not being watched. A quick sigh of relief left his lungs as he disappeared from the Nomu's line of sight, he teleported towards the Nomu and punched it with all the force he had. The creature knocked out Todoroki after one punch, but it was different this time, the Nomu couldn't even reach Saiki after struggling to survive his prey fighting back. I'm sorry you survived one of my punches, I guess I'm going all out. He removed his limiter, turned his head and ripped off the arm of the Nomu with the simple force of his head as he turned towards him. To his surprise he regenerated almost immediately, not knowing what his weakness was he went the safe route and used his fire to not end up making his teachers suspicious again. He stepped back and shot out a line of fire, Saiki's fire now was blue, it was an extremely beautiful color,  adding to that it was so hot that it burned his enemy's skin in no time. It was so hot it even slightly burned Saiki's Hand as well, leaving small marks on his palm. Now everything that was left was a charcoal silhouette of a Nomu. As the creature fell over Saiki realized it was the first time he had killed something in his life, besides a few flies that annoyed him in his house. He was slightly happy that this thing was nothing more than an animal, but he was happier it wasn't a giant bug.  
Good grief, I think I went too far, but I had to kill it before anyone notices. He heard a quiet but rough cough coming from behind him. „S-Saiki? How... did you defeat it?" Before being able to answer the teachers appeared at the scene. „Todoroki, Saiki, are you okay?!" Aizawa rushed towards them and instantly noticed the corpse of a Nomu. „Did... you do that?" Saiki just nodded. „I went all out, but he seemed weak to fire. Todoroki only attacked with his ice and got picked off, I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect him," he said with a blank expression.
'It's not very convincing, but he saved a student's life.' Aizawa thought, trusting Saiki just a bit more. 
'Damn it! The Nomu was supposed to take the new student, not get killed by it... But Saiki huh? I'll investigate on him, otherwise Tomura-san is going to kill me!' The instant Saiki noticed him, he glanced right at the spy. The spy then jumped through a spatial gate without realizing he had been discovered. Saiki decided to let him go, it was an easy deduction that he would appear again some time. Now he had to focus on bringing Todoroki to Recovery Girl, after all it was his fault he got hurt. He put on his limiter again and helped out at the scene, even though Aizawa tried to stop him in case he was hurt. Since he showed no signs of any injuries he just let him help out. Looking at the passed out Todoroki he scanned him with X-ray to check for any broken bones and destroyed organs, but everything was intact, besides the stomach which looked like minced meat. Thank goodness it's nothing critical. Saiki actually felt a little guilty, but there was nothing he could've done. Nomu... Huh?

An hour passed, Todoroki was still unconscious but almost fully healed. Recovery Girl did a pretty good job, Saiki was honestly surprised. But his body wasn't fully healed, so to relieve his guilt feeling he healed him fully while no teacher was watching. Maybe I should watch over him a little bit more, to apologize when he wakes up. 
A knocking at the room's door interrupted Saiki's thoughts, it was Aizawa who went to check out the students he failed to protect. "May I come in?" Saiki got up out of the uncomfortable hospital chair and let him in. "Yo, Saiki. I came to check on you two." He stepped into the room. "Well, first of all, your team has accomplished 100% on the exam, which made you ... I guess this isn't important." Looking at Saiki's bland expression it didn't seem to bother him in the slightest if he won or lost, but maybe that was just the way he was. "How is Todoroki? Has Recovery Girl healed him?" Saiki nodded. "Let's come to the point, you defeated a Nomu." - "I'm sorry, but before you continue, what is a Nomu?" If there was any way he could get intel from his teacher it was right here and right now. "Sorry, I forgot you were not there when the villains attacked. Nomu's are some kind of creatures created by the villains, they have all kinds of powers."
"All kinds of powers?"
"Yes, for example, the one that fought against All-Might when they attacked was a very resilient and strong type, exactly made for his abilities."
"I see."
The conversation stopped as they heard a noise from Todoroki who just woke up. 
"Saiki, thank you." Saiki turned towards his classmate. 
"Ah- sure. No problem." 
"No don't say that you saved my life, you're pretty strong."
After more thankfulness coming from his teacher and classmate, Saiki left the room to think about the Nomu he faced. It was clearly not a very strong creature, but it was able to take one of his punches. What was worse was the fact that it didn't have any thoughts. If these things advance they might actually be able to put up a fight. I don't think my pyrokinesis is strong enough to keep up with these guys in a fight where people watch my back though. Adding to that I removed my limiter.
What a pain, curse you Kusuke for dragging me into this world. 
Saiki decided to test his powers on the training ground tonight to see if he could get his pyrokinesis to the limiter-less level. Furthermore, he needed a way to use his powers and hide them with his own flames, hypnosis was sadly not an option. 
He went into his room after having lunch without any of his other classmates and sat down to read a book while eating his leftover Coffee-Jellies. Finishing the whole book in just under one hour, Saiki was slightly bored. Normally he would be out eating ramen with Nendou, Kaidou and Aren. It made him smile a little bit, even though he was annoyed by his friends dragging him to such places, he kind of missed it. It had become a routine that has squeezed itself into his life. He wondered what is going on in his world right now, he leaned back into his chair and tried using Clairvoyance on his world, but it was no use. He couldn't reach. Teruhashi is probably going to annoy me for missing school for a week. 

As the last few stray lights of the sunset left the sky, Saiki decided it was time to train a little bit. It was fairly early, but he checked if anyone was in the area, he needed to be alone for a while. The training grounds were also huge if anyone could find him in there it would be a miracle. 
He teleported into the middle of the area, picked up some rubble and starting playing solo-catch. After finishing with his routine, he searched for a boulder thick enough to be a target for his pyrokinesis. He started with a small line of fire and continued by advancing the strength of his fire every second, but he never achieved his goal. The blue fire wouldn't appear without him removing his limiter.

"Alert, student fighting on school grounds, alert." All-Might's computer jump scared him.
"What is this?" he decided to check out the situation by himself, even though it wasn't a good idea in his state. If there was no enemy intruder, there was nothing to worry about.

Saiki continued to test his abilities, this time even going for his X-ray, cryokinesis, invisibility and psychokinesis. All while not noticing that he was being watched. Machines have no thoughts. 
His X-Ray was able to go through thick steel walls, his cryokinesis could create massive ice waves, the invisibility lasted longer than usual and one of his strongest abilities, psychokinesis, was even stronger than before. 
Now to do all of this again, I'm going all out. 
He put on his germanium ring and removed his limiter. Right there, he did his greatest mistake yet. All-Might was out of his telepathy reach before, now he couldn't notice him at all.
God really did hate him.

'Is that the new student? I see he's training, I'll go sa-'
Suddenly he felt a pressure in the air, if he got any closer he would be crushed. At the sheer display of powers, All-Might instantly stopped in his place. 
'One...two...three, why does this guy have so many quirks?! Is he... No, it couldn't be, One for all is still in his cell.'
Saiki stopped his training, he was done. All of his powers were flawless, they even increased in strength. Before putting on his limiter again he took off his ring, the moment it left the tip of his finger he heard all of it. Every thought going through his observer's mind.
Where?! FUCK!
He quickly turned his head in All-Might's direction which made him literally delete the road in front of him. A sweat tear ran down his face, now he actually got discovered. 
Calm down Kusuo...
He teleported to All-Might who couldn't get a word out of his mouth, there he stood in front of him, what All-Might believed to be his death.
"You saw it." 
"Wait wait wait! I didn't intend to!"
Saiki sighed and sat down onto the cold ground. The moment he did All-Might calmed down. Saiki wasn't going to harm him in the slightest, he just couldn't. Removing All-Mights memories with his yellow banana-shaped alteration power would work. But it was a chance to find out how these people would react to his powers. 
"S-So what was that?" He asked, his voice still trembling. 
He let out another sigh.
Good Grief I guess I have to explain myself once more.
