Saiki slowly opened his eyes, accidentally falling asleep on the training grounds after the fight with Naneki was kind of embarrassing. He scratched his head and noticed he still hasn't reapplied his limiter yet, he panicked in fear of it has caused some kind of destruction, but after realizing his barrier was still up he calmed down.
Ugh, how am I going to explain all of this to the school, I might have messed up quite a bit.
He looked at his new ring, it did contain his own body, the one he was in right now was just one from the past, but he couldn't just release it, neither could he just leave this timeline, if he did, the body would stay in Naneki's control and everything would be reset.
I have to release myself from this ring when I defeat Naneki, whatever happens after that happens. Good Grief, the mess isn't even close to over.
Saiki got up, brushed the dirt off his clothes, and started levitating out of the area. While removing his powerful barrier with a simple snap of his fingers, he flew towards the school again. Waiting for him were a group of policemen as well as many heroes from the school, ready to protect their students. Aizawa and All-Might, along with the principal and Cementos, were in front of the police crowd, ready to take on any danger.
As Saiki levitated down to the ground he stared the heroes in the eyes, though they were on an even level eye to eye, everyone clearly felt the pressure of just his presence, but it was a mere misconception. To everyone's surprise Saiki raised his arms and surrendered. Of course, this wouldn't stop Saiki from using any of his abilities, but a surrendering gesture cleared the chaos of thoughts coming from his opponents. Not saying a word, Saiki waited for the reactions of the heroes, but they were also speechless. "Good Grief, just capture me already so I can explain my situation."
The policemen's bodies immediately stiffened up again, talking so carelessly was a mistake.
"Please, my body had been taken over by a Nomu and if I remember correctly I still know the location of that bastard Naneki and Shigaraki."
"What did you just say?" Aizawa along with every hero gave him a meaningful look, they clearly knew about the Nomu's already but mentioning Shigaraki's name seemed to do the trick.
All-Might turned to Aizawa and whispered to him with a bit of panic in his voice.
"If he knows Shigaraki, god knows what has been done to him, but I know we can get information around the league of villains this way." Aizawa didn't say anything, he only flicked his tongue. "I don't know what to trust anymore, first he goes against the school, now he wants to help us." He turned his head to Saiki and walked towards him.
"I want you to tell me a lot of things and if there's even the slightest hint of a lie I will restrain and put you into prison. First, who are you?"
"My name is Saiki Kusuo, I'm 17 years old, my family lives in Hidari Wakibara and I'm a school student at PK academy."
'PK? Wakibara? Just... Ah, doesn't matter.' Aizawa thought quite confused. But it wasn't the question he wanted to ask in the first place, he stopped in his tracks and looked down at Saiki.
"What happened before you attacked the school?"
"I was going after the Nomu that attacked the students during the test, too confident I was attacked and mind-controlled by another Nomu created by Naneki."
"How did you undo said mind control."
Saiki was left in silence, he didn't know how to answer honestly without scaring everyone.
"It's a very long story, but it got weaker over time, especially after Teru-"
I FORGOT! Teruhashi is in this world, where is she, is she okay, are they holding her hostage?
He looked around, she was nowhere to be seen, even checking with telepathy he had a hard time finding her between all the thoughts coming from in front of him.
I...I'm overthinking no one, not even someone in this world would hurt the 'ultimate beauty'.
"Aizawa Sensei, where is Teruhashi."
"She stayed behind in a safe space." Checking with his powers, Aizawa wasn't lying.
"I got one last question for you." He gave him a dead stare. "What is your actual quirk."
Saiki's eyes widened, he was used to showing his psychic abilities to other people by now, but the reaction from All-Might behind him made him unsure of what to say.
'His abilities are too similar to All for One if he shows his abilities Aizawa is sure to panic!'
"I... I don't know how to explain my abilities to you Sensei."
"If you can't explain it to me, how am I supposed to trust you."
"Good Grief alright, listen to me these words are only reaching you right now, I do not want to spout out my abilities to everyone around us since I still might be the target of Naneki and his Nomu's. Please don't panic I don't want to end up mind-controlled and causing problems again."
Just the sheer amount of information going into Aizawa's head let his eyes widen and step one step backward.
"My powers range from teleportation to the manipulation of all elements. I can teleport, read your mind, go back in time, go to the future, mind control the whole planet, reset an item to its original form, turn you into a toddler, and much more. I have all these powers, but while being mind-controlled, Naneki didn't know about most of these, so when playing with my body like a puppet he wasn't able to use all of them. After I went back in time I had a fight with my own self, captured my own body, and imprisoned it into this ring, but he is still alive and I can't release the body and..."
Saiki's body began shaking and his stomach hurt. He put his arms around his stomach, he had never felt like this, but releasing all these pent up things to someone other than himself made his feelings explode. Or at least so he thought.
Suddenly spitting blood Saiki fell on his knees.
"What the..."
"Just what are you?" Aizawa stumbled on his words and as if he received a high dose of alcohol, he got quite dizzy. Trusting Saiki after showing no murderous intent he realized the student had almost collapsed on the ground.
"What's going on?" Aizawa asked quickly reaching out his helping hand towards Saiki.
With his stomach still hurting as if he swallowed a thousand needles, Saiki quickly got hold of the situation.
"I think my body's presence is colliding with the other Saiki in this ring, I have to find Naneki quickly and end it so I can go back into my own body."
Trying to reset his own body to undo the pain he is experiencing, Saiki thought about where to actually begin, what if Naneki had left the location or what if he needed help pursuing him. Asking the heroes from the school and the police could turn into having valuable companions, but seeing the sheer amount of Nomu's Naneki was holding in just that one room made Saiki question if they were even capable of surviving it.
Aizawa who was recollecting his thoughts about Saiki was asking himself the same thing, what to do. He didn't know if Saiki was lying, nor did he know what to do if those Nomu's were real. Since Saiki stopped spitting blood and seemed to be fine, Aizawa turned around and told the policemen to lower their weapons while heading towards the other heroes who had been standing at the ready. "Saiki had been attacked by a Nomu capable of Mind-Control if what he says is even true in the slightest." - "Aizawa." All-Might turned to him. "I know it's hard to believe him right now, but after escaping, why would he come back, furthermore why would he surrender when he could probably kill at least half of the people standing here right now." Aizawa let out a big sigh. "I know All-Might." Looking down at the school principal he asked for his opinion on the matter, but he agreed with All-Might. "I think this is a great opportunity to work with the police against not only Naneki but Shigaraki as well. And if what Saiki is saying is indeed true, there is no reason for us not to help." All-Might nodded and looked at Aizawa who was still putting together all the puzzle pieces.
'Saiki, you can read my mind, is that correct?'
"Yes."
'That'll be good help against a Mind-Controlling Nomu. In case anyone ever gets attacked by one, their thoughts should go blank. If we go to Naneki's hideout and are under attack, I want you to continuously read the minds of people around you.'
"That won't be a problem, I can't turn it off anyway."
Aizawa looked at Saiki who regained his posture and was standing up healthy again, still not being able to fully trust this all-powerful being in front of him, for which Saiki couldn't blame him. All-Might stepped forward.
"Would you cooperate with us in taking down Naneki, Saiki?"
Saiki looked around, normally he wouldn't involve himself with others, but being in a weakened state he had to agree.
Good Grief, to think this would go smoothly...
He looked at his hand which was still partially covered in blood by him wiping it off his mouth.
Maybe this world will actually help me grow a lot more than I expected.
"Come, we have a lot to discuss." Aizawa said before vanishing into the building behind the police officers.
All-Might quickly waved him over to follow him, it would be a good opportunity for him to talk to Saiki a bit more. Saiki went over to All-Might looking blankly at him, with a sweat tear running down his face.
"So... you got into a big mess huh?" All-Might smiled with a warm expression.
"Speaking of a big mess, that girl that came to this school a while ago, Teruhashi, do you know her?"
"I do, I guess you could say that we're friends."
'guess?'
"Don't forget that I can read your mind."
"Oh... yeah. Well, we should follow Aizawa and meet up with Teruhashi on the way, I bet you have a lot you want to talk about."
"Actually, I would rather not have to explain myself, it's a bit exhausting. If we finish the Naneki case I can relax and tell her."
"Alright. I'll just tell her to wait for you for a while and that you're quite busy." He chuckled and then lead Saiki inside the building, going after Aizawa. He opened the door for Saiki and generally didn't show any hostility against him. Saiki felt quite bad for that, he obviously messed up and though he didn't cause any accidents in this timeline, if he hadn't been lucky of his soul separating from his body, there would have been a whole school, hell even the whole city left in ashes of destruction. To some extent he also felt grateful for Aizawa and All-Might, even though he was an obvious enemy, they accepted his excuse and trusted his words. Everything is going smoothly, in a way Saiki can actually handle right now.
They went through the corridors, had a nice talk about everything that happened, though eyes were constantly kept on him, with heroes following them around anywhere. One wrong move or step caused the heroes behind him to tense up, but All-Might kept his friendliness at all times.
I don't know why he would do it, I guess All-Might is either very uncautious or just really good at reading the soul of a human. What if I accidentally affected him with mind control?!
He looked closely at All-Might who was still guiding him through a school corridor, supposedly the last until they arrived at the conference room. He didn't seem to be affected by any mind control like state, so Saiki was filled with relief.
As they arrived in the conference room, a few heroes were already present. The huge round table in the middle, surrounded by chairs with papers and pens for each chair made it look really professional. It reminded Saiki of the occult school club in his school, just a lot less menacing. The big screen on the furthest wall of the room switched on as he stepped into the room, on it was information about Shigaraki. Saiki read it in light speed, but none of the information he gained from it seemed useful to him.
"Those who want to take a seat, go ahead." Aizawa guided the room.
"I want you to meet Saiki, well everyone should know him by now, from all he told us, he has information on one of the members of the League of Villains. Naneki."
Saiki nodded, quickly wanting this to be over.
"I was attacked by a Nomu in a factory, though I don't quite remember where it was and I believe he would have changed locations by now. The only thing of information I have is right on your screen, Shigaraki Tomura, I clearly remember his face, or well what you could see past the hand."
"The Nomus Saiki, how many were actually there."
"Well, it doesn't really matter how many were there, if one of the minds controls hits you, they will gain another ally. The one that hit me was a mere prototype, so I could escape his grasp."
"Do you remember any leads?"
"I started my investigation in a destroyed café..."
Aizawa suddenly grabbed a tablet from under his desk and quickly swiped around on pictures that the police had taken. As he got to the same café Saiki had investigated at first, Saiki immediately reacted, making it clear to everyone that it's the same location.
Saiki knows he only teleported in a range of about a kilometer.
"Do you know any empty facilities in an area of 2km?"
Aizawa thought for a minute but couldn't come up with anything. Now the principal of the school interrupts the scene by quickly jumping on one of the chairs to be at even height.
"The facilities are mostly empty, we would have to ask the police on the matter, but that would mean we would get the investigation started in about a week's time..."
"There's no need for that, I will retrace my steps if we simply go to the café. We'll capture Naneki today."
"What?"
"Just how would you do that?"
Everyone threw questions towards him, but Saiki, All-Might and Aizawa just kind of nodded at each other, they knew that if Saiki said he could do it with his powers, he could simply just do it.
"We have to trust him, though he will be leading a solo group, for our safety mostly. We will be right behind him though."
"When should we go? It's quite late." All-Might asked.
"Better now than never, if we don't gain any further information today there is always tomorrow. Speaking of which, I believe it is better to have school be canceled for the next few days."
After a lot more planning which Saiki wasn't really a part of, they finally got into a car of the police and headed towards the café. Saiki took this opportunity to take a quick nap since he was surrounded by heroes that could protect him at any time. He felt at ease.
"Hey, Saiki, wake up." All-Might shook him a little bit, waking up Saiki. He slowly opened his eyes and looked to the left, where he immediately saw the location he previously investigated. He got up and stepped out of the car. The sun had already set by now, leaving the whole area in complete darkness. The only light came from the car he just got out of.
Saiki scratched his head and while subconsciously listening to his surroundings he noticed something. An empty mind, that was also filled with instinctive thoughts, but none that were anywhere near human...Saiki's eyes jumped open, immediately trying to create a barrier he made in the fight with himself he went into a fighting position, pushing away All-Might that was still close to the car.
"Everybody! There's a Nomu nearby!"
Failing to create a barrier, a Nomu practically fell from the sky and smashed onto the car Saiki just came out of, turning it into a flat plate.
A huge creepy smile covered his face with drool running down his whole throat, while his dark body blended into the night and his body's muscles tensed up, Saiki knew he was in danger.
He raised his arms off the car, revealing two huge fused blades on him, Saiki was too late to react. The Nomu's eyes switched from Saiki to All-Might, one slice through the air and blood splat from All-Mights body that had just been cut open. While it didn't hit anything vital, the Nomu already prepared for another slash. Not knowing any way to protect All-Might besides jump in front of the slash, with his body covered in a barrier, Saiki reached out, landing in front of All-Might.
Everything is happening in slow motion, as the Nomu raised his blade, cutting visibly through the air. Saiki raised his hand, trying to deflect the blow.
The cut went deep, through the barrier and through Saiki's and All-Might's body. His fingers separated from his hand he held the barrier with and a cut going from the top of his skull to the bottom of his torso... Mirrored onto All-Might, Saiki fell to the ground, his world around him disappearing, his eyes losing the color of life and as the last bit of air escaped his cut lungs...
Saiki had died.
All-Might had died.
