Chapter 41

Krithi:

"And this is my brother's room..."Jai said as we both stood in front of bed room in their big house.

Yesterday,Mishra's family invited us for dinner and we came to their house.Jai was assigned to show me the house and since half an hour,we are roaming around the house.While,my sister and parents decided to give us some private space.

As,we entered Yash's room,Jai got a phone call.

"You go inside,I'll come.Excuse me."He excused himself and I went inside the room.

My eyes roam across the spacious room,which has white walls and a big window is present opposite to the entrance.A queen size bed was placed beside the door,which has white bedspreads.The wall to my left has closet and the end of the wall,there present a door which leads to bathroom.And to my right there was mirror and at the right corner,there was a table.

I went to it and saw there lies many circuits and wire,PCBs.I looked up the wall above the table has some stick notes and some papers with diagrams.I smiled seeing them thinking it is the only place that is messy in his room.Every thing is clean and perfect.I turned to the window and I can see the garden in front of the house and driveway.

"Liked my room."A voice from behind startled me.I turn around and saw Yash,who has smile on his face.

"No,Its too plain."I said uninterested,walking towards him as he stood near his bed 

He gave me another smile,"What ever,finally you are in my room."

"But now I am not your friend."I said and about to leave the room,when he pulled me back by my arm.Startled,I took my arm out of his grip.

"Someone will see us."I whispered.

"Everyone are busy.Jai,in phone call,and everyone else are down the dinning hall.So we can talk."

"What is there to--"I halted in my words as I am curious about what he wanted to talk.May be about the incident on date night.May be he realized that he likes me.May be he...'No more may be's Krithi,just let him talk',My mind said to which I obeyed.

"Umm...What you wanted to talk?"I asked hiding my smile.

He smiled satisfied,"Shall we be friends again?"

"Do you want me just like your friend?"I asked teasing,thinking he is hesitant to tell about his feelings.

"Yeah!That is what I am asking you.We can be back to our old times...Like best friends,sharing everything,talking about everyone..."He was excited,"And I'll promise that I am never going to hurt you again.I promise you that I'll be a good friend."I frowned and I am like what he was talking.Why he is speaking about the word 'friend.'

He continued,"And If you have any problem with Jai or my parents,you can share with me.I'll tell him not to hurt yo..."

"What the hell are you talking about?"I shouted in low voice,"You wanted us to be just friends?"I asked.

"Of course.."

I was so stupid to think that he realize his feeling.I roll my eyes and walked towards the door.I felt pity for myself,how easily I was about to give him a chance.

"Hey what happened now?"I heard him ask and I turn to him really frustrated.I am feeling like if I'd get a chance to kill him,I won't hesitate at this moment.

"Any problem?"He asked,totally bewildered.

"Yes,The biggest problem in my life is you.Damn Yashwanth,I don't understand how you are so dumb about us.You have feelings for me,I can feel it,but..."I don't know how else I can convince him,"Just leave it Yashwanth and please don't talk to me again."I requested him and turned away to leave.
