With all of those things rolling through his mind, he was smiling as he entered the clearing, stopping at the edge and taking in the scene before him.

He scanned the laughed strong from the trees, the table in the center set with dinner for two, and finally settling in the beautiful girl in front of him. His beautiful girl, who was smiling that wonderful bright smile that he loved so much.

Slowly, she walked over to him, until they stood nose-to-nose.

"Happy Anniversary," she whispered, as if the clearing had put the world on mute. God, he loved this girl.

And before Sirae could try and drag him over to the table, he pulled his gift for her out of his pocket, grabbing her hand and slipping the simple gold band onto her left ring finger.

"Sirae." His voice was slightly hoarse as he spoke. "It's been three years, and they've been the best of my life. When we met in high school, I had no idea how important you would become to me. You have seen me at my worst as well as my best, and you're still here, which is more than I can say for a lot of people. And... and I've come to the point where I've realized that I can't live my life without you by my side, and I don't want to, either. Today, reliving all those memories, has just solidified that.

"I'm not proposing, not yet. I am, however, promising that one day I will, whether it be in one year or ten. In promising that I will love you, and only you, as I have for that part three years, for the rest of eternity, that I will always support you like you support me, and that one day you will officially be mine, and I will officially be yours. That one day, whenever it may be, we will stand in a church in front of both or families and say 'I do.' That is, if you want to."

Sirae, who had been standing shellshocked this whole time, watering eyes flicking back and forth between his face and the ring on her finger. Wanting to speak but finding herself unable to, she nodded, her eyes filling up to the brim and spilling over with tears as she launched herself into his arms, burying her face into his neck.

Jisung locked his arms around her waist, unable to stop smiling as he rubbed Sirae's back and read his fingers through her hair as he wait for her to calm down. And when she pulled back, he placed a kiss on her temple, then on her forehead, on her nose and lastly on her lips. He could taste the salt from her tears, could feel her smiling as much as he was, and he knew that he would never regret this decision, never regret this girl, not in a million lifetimes.
