Once its clicked on when you come across a choice the table of contents will pop up and there will be something like choiceA or choice B.

S - will represent Strawberry meaning this choice will effect Kiawe since a strawberry was red and he has red since he is also from well MeleMele island so yeah.
L - will represent Lemon Meaning this choice will effect Gladion since Yellow is the color or lemon and Gladion hair so yeah you get the idea
Once you have chosen your choice it either has an effect or no effect, if it has in effect you'll get points and the point will correspond to the ending. If no effect that mean no pints and S or L will not appear at the end of your choice story and if you dont understand check the picture below
