"MOM!" A kid screams as his mother runs up the stairs quickly.
"What's wrong? Why are you screaming," she says in a worried panic.
"I got in. Oh My God. I got in!," he says as some tears fall down his face. He quickly runs over and hugs his mom. She hugs him back with tears streaming down her face.
"Thank you," He says as he gives her a kiss on the cheek and sits down on his bed.
"For what," she says with a confused look on her face as she sits down next to him on the bed. He starts to cry again but this time it wasn't happy tears.
"You helped me get my shit together. If it wasn't for you I would have probably been dead. Everything was so hopeless it seemed after dad died." He wipes his tears from his eyes and lays down still holding the acceptance letter in his hand.
"You did this yourself Max. I had nothing to do with this. You got your stuff together all by yourself and I bet your dad would be very proud of you right now," she says as she smiles and grabs his hand. Max looks at the acceptance letter in disbelief that he got into the college that he wanted but he didn't want to go that far away from his mother and brother. There is a knock on the door and Max runs down the stairs and opens it. His friend Amanda was standing there pissed off.
"Did you forget something," she says as she points to her watch.
"Damn it! Our assignment is supposed to be done and turned in at 5:00 and it's 3:29 and we have so much to do," Max says as he smacks himself. She laughs and points to the letter in his hand.
"What is that?," she says as Max looks at the letter and looks back at her smiling hugely. He pulls her inside the house and shuts the door before his mother could yell at him about letting the hot air escape.
"I got into Elizabethtown college which is right next to Hershey Park, but enough about that. Let's finish the project," Max says as he grabs the poster out of his backpack. The project was to create a poster about anything you wanted. You could do it about games, singers, food, etc...... Max and Amanda were going to do their poster about Freddie Mercury but one of the jocks who has been bullying Max since the beginning of freshman year till the beginning of the senior year stole the idea from them but they were still going to do it anyway and it was going to be better than Jacks project.
"So is Jack leaving you alone?," Amanda says breaking the silence between them.
"I told you we never speak of that name never," Max says as he starts to tear up. Max has been shoved into lockers, punched in the face and stomach, and he's even almost been sexually assaulted by Jack and his jock friends. Max will never forget the first time that he encountered Jack.
*Flashback*
Max walked into the locker room trying to aviod looking at anyone's body because he knew if he did he would be called a faggot and probably get beat up. Max walks over to a locker and puts his bag in and changes into his black gym shorts and black tee shirt. He checks his phone before turning it off and putting it into his bag. He then sees a nice tall white guy with brown hair and blue eyes walk into the locker room. He stares at him and then quickly looks away before the boy notices. The handsome jock opens the locker right next to Max's and starts taking his shirt off. Max can't help but take a quick peak. This handsome jock has a chiseled body, six pack of abs, and fluffy ass hair. Max wanted to fluff his hair so bad but restrained himself. Max sees his name on one of his notebooks, "Jack" it says in big Italic bold letters. Jack looks over at Max while he's drooling "What are you looking at?," he says as he pushes Max against the locker.
