"so guess what" Richie said as he sat down,
"what?" Eddie asked excited
"well, I have a date"
"whaat" Beverly replied as she looked over at Stanley with a confused face
"that cool, we should d-d-double date" bill suggested
"I mean" Richie paused "if you guys want" He looked over at Bev and Bill, Beverly agreed to the date. While Beverly was so happy for Richie all she could think about was the conversation she had with Stanley.

Once Beverly entered her house, she made sure her dad wasn't there. Since he wasn't she used the telephone in her kitchen, and called Stanley.
"Hello" Stanley's dad picked up
"uh, hey Mr. Uris, can I speak to Stan"
he sighed and yelled out for Stanley, "he's coming"
"Hello?" Stanley answered
"hey,-"
"oh, hey"
"dude, Richie"
"I know, like we could've been wrong"
"but how weird is it, that now that Ed's got a real girlfriend, he does too"
"I mean yeah its sorta weird but"
"well anyways, since I'm going to the date tomorrow"
he gasped "maybe you can see how serious he is about her"
"yeah, but wait are we just like blowing this out of proportion?"
"pfft, noo"
"okay, Ill see you tomorrow"

Everything at the date was going well, well just for Bev and Bill, Bev notice how Richie would try to hang out with them and sorta ditch Sandra. Bill dropped Sandra off at her place and the only thing Richie had said to her was bye and didn't even walk her up to her house or anything. Bill noticed it but brushed it off because he just thought, Richie is just that kind of person. Bill drove over to Beverly's apartment, Bill and Bev kissed before she got off the car,
"ugh" Richie huffed in the back seat
"shut up, fuck head" Beverly replied "Bye, babe" she said as she gave Bill another kiss
"you know, I'll just walk home from here" Richie told Bill as he got off the car
Bill didn't say anything back to him and just drove off. Bev looked back and saw Richie walking away, "Richie!" she shouted and started to head to his direction, he turned and stopped as she walked up to him "whats up?" he asked as he fixed his glasses
"so what did you think about your date?" she asked him as she sat on the edge of the sidewalk, he joined her "uhm it was, good"
she took out a pack of cigarettes and offered him on, "I feel like you didn't have fun"
he laughed as he had the cigarette in his mouth lighting it "well yeah she's fucking boring"
she laughed "then, why'd you ask her out"
it stayed quite as Richie puffed out the smoke, then stood up "I don't know, but I'll see you later I have to get home"
