Harley's P.O.V.
I walk into school wearing my usual battle gear: skinny jeans that are ripped to all heavens, a band t-shirt, studded belts, rubber bracelets, combat boots, basically accessories out the wazoo, looking like an early 2000's emo kid. Its the first day of senior year. Hunter, Jia, Danie, and me have the same first class. Lucky, I know. I walk into class, smiling. I sit down in the far back corner. Danie and Jia followed in soon after, sitting beside me. "Why did you ditch us back there?" Jia asked, crossing her arms. "I needed to get the best seats. Where's my brother?" I asked back. "He stopped at his locker." Danie told me. I nod. Next Hunter walked in and sat with us. I smiled at him. "So, how many piercings you have now that you got your tongue over the summer?" Danie asked. "I have my nose, tongue, lip, ears, and septum. So five piercings. I don't have my septum in today, or my other side of my snakebites." I replied back. "Okay, cool." He says smiling. Everyone else files in to class and soon one of the hired demons begins their lectures about class rules. The rest of the day continues like every other past year has. At the end of the day, I hugged Danie goodbye as he got out of the car as we dropped him off at his nice little house. The rest of us drove home to the mansion that is our house that all of us live in with our parents.
~Next day
After lunch me and Jia have gym. We wear the type of clothes the school rules normally forbids but is considered a uniform for gym where our creepy gym teacher can stare at us: short shorts and a tank top cutting so low our sports bra's poke out and we have to wrestle with the tops to keep them from riding up past our belly buttons. We had to run/walk the track today. As we were jogging past some of the popluar girls, we heard them talking about cheerleading tryouts being tonight. After we were out of hearing distance, I looked over at Jia who hasn't even broken a sweat yet despite the August heat. "Hey, did you hear what those girls were saying?" I questioned Jia, slowing down so we could talk. "Yeah, why?" She removed the only ear bud she had in. "What if we tried out?" I asked curiously. "Have you lost your mind?!?!" She exclaimed. "Maybe. But if we made it, it would show them that we are just as good as them." I explained. "Okay. I guess it won't hurt us to try." She said, smiling. Her smile turned into a smirk, "It would be nice to knock those girls off of their pedestals." I grinned back mischievously.
~After school, tryouts.
We walked in smiling or most perky smiles we could muster. "Um, what do you think your doing in here?" A brunette with a beautiful outside appearance questioned us. "Same reason as you, silly. We want to try out." I mimicked the same tone as they use at pep rallies and games. "Losers are not welcomed here." She replied back, bitterly, obviously not impressed by our personations, her blue eyes piercing. Before I could say something back, the coach, I'm guessing, walked in. "Brittany. Out. We do not disrespect others. If this is how you are going to be, leave." The athletic woman said. The girl hesitated until the coach crossed her arms, then she left, angry, glaring at us
5 hours later~
"Okay. Nice work girls." She said. "Line it up." She began pointing at a number of girls while saying "You" each time, Jia and I being two out of the twenty four girls. "If I pointed to you, then your on the squad." She said, smiling. Me and Jia jumped up and down squealing, just like eveyone else. But then people started to glare at us a little bit. Especially the girls who didn't make it. We left with our uniforms and pom poms. We walked out to the parking lot giggling, where my brother stopped and picked us up. We drove home in a chatting frenzy. As soon as we were there, I jumped out and ran inside all hyper, yelling "guess what, guess what!" Over and over again. My mom, dad, uncle, and aunt came out to see what the commotion was. "We made it! We are on the cheerleading squad!" I yelled. They came up and grouped hugged me and Jia. "Thats great hunny!" My mom exclaimed. I grinned from ear to ear. After a series of questions and talking, I told them I was hungry and tired, so I went to the kitchen, got food, and went to my room where I flopped on my bed after getting a quick shower and did not move from for the rest of the night.
