Featherkit's blue eyes slitted open to see Honeykit's green eyes looming in front of her. "C'mon!" she squealed. "Mother said we can get something from the fresh kill pile!"

Featherkit's eyes shot fully open. Stepping over Petaldusk's kits, Dovekit, Autumnkit, and Brightkit, she raced to the fresh-kill pile, Honeykit trailing behind her.

Tigerpaw was busy gnawing on a rabbit to notice her. "Hi, Tigerpaw!" she squeaked.
Tigerpaw narrowed his eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm an apprentice, your just a kit." he said.

Featherkit's eyes widened with hurt. "You dont have to be so mean!" she pointed out.
"What?" he snarled. "Nobody calls me that!" he hissed. In a flash, his claws raked across her face. Featherkit let out a screech of pain as fury stung her nose.

"Ow!" she cried, tears welling in her eyes. Tigerpaw backed away, eyes wide with realization. "I-I'm sor-" "Tigerpaw!" Snowsong screeched, Honeykit behind her. "You monster!" she screeched.

The clan gathered around to see what was happening. "You hurt an innocent kit?" she screeched, eyes slitted with fury. "S-she called me mean..." Tigerpaw stopped when he realized how ridiculous he sounded.

Applestar pushed her way through and looked at the blood that was gushing down Featherkit's nose. "Who did this?!" she demanded. "Tigerpaw." Snowsong hissed. Applestar turned to Tigerpaw, eyes slitted with fury.

"Apprentice duties, 5 moons. No training." she hissed. Tigerpaw gaped. "What? No! She'll become a warrior before me!" he cried. Applestar sighed. "No gathering until 3 moons after your a warrior..." she continued.

"What!! Ugh your so mean!" he complained. Applestar growled. "Now, you must sleep in the open until your a warrior. You attacked a kit for no reason, and your objecting me." she hissed

Tigerpaw growled in frustration, but didnt say anything else. Rowanpaw raced up to her. "Are you okay?" he gasped. Featherkit nodded. "Tigerpaw's a looney, attacking kits like that." he hissed, glaring at his brother.

Featherkit nodded, rage building up in her. As the rage grew, the wind got stronger. Rain pounded on the camp floor, and thunder crackled overhead. Rowanpaw squeaked as a huge blob of water landed straight on Tigerpaw.

He cursed at the sky before settling down. Featherkit ducked into the nursery, escaping the storm. Honeykit raced up to her. "Are you okay?" Honeykit asked, eyes wide with terror. Featherkit nodded.

"I'm just tired, thats all." she yawned. Honeykit curled up next to her, heat radiating off her. Featherkit closed her eyes and let darkness engulf her.
