Here's some stuff you gotta know about Hime Lolita:
✼ there's a whole bunch of different types of Lolita Fashion! Goth, sailor-themed, sweet, etc!
✼ hime (pronounced as "hee-meh") means princess in Japanese
✼ it was inspired by a architecture ( means how they styled buildings & castles ) style called "rococo" that was popular the 1700s
Here is some rococo-styled buildings
Lots of soft, pastel colours with elegant designs! White, soft pink, and gold is very common though you will also see blue sometimes. A lot of dramatic "swooshes" and "swirls" are also used in tbe plaster. There is also a touch of religious imagery!
Here is some rococo-styled art!
Romance, drama, and the over exaggeration of emotions are all huge themes here!! Nudity was also common, but I won't show that here.
✼ because rococo was so popular in the 1700s, hime lolita takes some ideas from how rich people use to dress back then such as: lace, bows, bonnets, long frilly sleeves, asymmetrical designs, and heels
✼ though because its a "lolita" type style as well, it follows some lolita rules as well such as knee length skirts / dresses, modern makeup and hair, and a skirt that is bell-shaped or A-shaped
✼ hime lolita also takes the pastels from the rococo architecture and romantic / dramatic look from the art
✼ using Japanese words, hime lolita is spelt like 姫 ロリタ
Here are some examples of Hime Lolita ( finally!! )
