A/N: I'm not really much of a fan of local TV shows but this story was inspired from "Magdalena". It so happened that when I saw a particular scene on that show, this story just popped up and I knew I had to jot it down immediately on my notebook, and viola! Here it is. :)) I'm dedicating this to [nesuji] because she made me smile last October 15. Thank you for the wonderful message [nesuji]. :DD

Stolen Happiness

How does it feel...to want someone who doesn't want you back?
It feels terrible, especially when you really want that someone to feel the same way about you. It's like you have an incurable disease and she doesn't want to be infected. And when you'd try to win her heart, she'd think that you're being such a nuisance and she will start avoiding you like plague. You're not only rejected, but you'd feel as though you've been stepped on by a big foot.
How does it feel...to take away the happiness of someone else's?
It feels pathetic, as though you've stolen a toy from a 5-year-old kid and it was his favourite. And the item that you stole, which you thought would complete you, will never make you happy. For you know deep inside you that you've hurt its real owner, and the thing which you took away from him. After all, it was never yours to begin with.
How does it feel?
Although wracked and consumed by guilt, Jay Miller did nothing but to stare at Hana Green's crying figure from a distance. It was pretty ironic that the name Hana means happiness, but he could clearly see that she was not in pure bliss. He wanted so much to bring her in his arms and comfort her, to wipe away those tears and make her smile, to say that he will be by her side no matter what happens. Yet he knows more than anyone else that she didn't need him, that he can never make her happy except...him.
Putting on a straight face, Jay decided to approach her. She must have heard him coming because she stopped sobbing in an instant when she felt a presence behind her.
"I already did what you wanted. And...I'm hoping you'd keep your end of the bargain." her voice was shaky and filled with hate and resentment. It hurt him to see her crying, but what hurt him most was the fact that he was the cause of her own misery. She turned to face him with a determined look, trying her best not to cry again.
"Don't hurt him...please..." she pleaded, her rounded blue eyes were still brimming with tears.
'What have I done?' Jay thought to himself. He never wanted for this to happen. He never wanted to make her unhappy. All he ever wanted was for her to stay by his side forever.
"Hana...does it really hurt you so much to stay with me?" he asked with uncertainty. She kept her head down upon hearing his question. He should have seen that one coming. He knew right from the very start that she will never love him the same way as he loved her. But what did he do? He forced her and threatened her that he will hurt the guy she loves so she can stay with him. How selfish can he be?
"Hana..." he barely whispered. He inched forward so he can hold her, but she brushed his hands away.
"Don't you even dare to touch me! You're disgusting." she hissed and walked away afterwards. Her words earlier got the best of him. He felt both of his hands turning to fists and he wanted so much to land a punch on his face nonstop for his selfish acts.
How does it feel?
It hurts. He wanted to go back to how everything was before, but it's all too late now. And no matter how much he wanted to undo all the wrong things he made, it would all be futile. For he have hurt not only his best friends, but also himself.

A/N: This is just a one-shot and it took me almost an hour and a half to finish this. Haha. :))) I apologize if you didn't like this. :DD Oh yeah, if you found this confusing, then I'm sorry. As you can see, Jay Miller, the selfish guy, took Hana Green away from his best friend, which happened to be Hana's boyfriend. The three of them are best friends so yeah, I hope that explains everything. :)))
