–Steven's POV–
I was so tired, that I felt like my body was going to collapse. Any who I had to stay hidden but I kept changing spot everytime I heard shuffling, who knows if Spinel is out there using her powers. I finally gave in and was in the middle of the maze which was honestly kinda of a big spot, like someone destroyed this area. I sat down and checked my phone to see what time it is and luckily it's far away from the time I need to meet Connie 'What's taking her so long? ' I thought when literally I've been sitting here for only 5 or 6 minutes.
Usually Spinel would use cheats like stretching her arms and such but nope, no spinel on the ai—"AAAAAAH!! " I quickly got up when I heard a girly scream and I just went full sprinting when I recognize that scream or voice.
–Spinel s POV– (before the scream)
I searched for Steven everywhere on the maze, but no one, and yeah I know why don't I use my powers, well news flash turns out they don't work here. Tough I kinda stopped in my tracks when I realized where I was, I was back at the freaking entrance of the maze, 'Maybe Steven changed spot? ' I thought shrugging and was about to just search and go back in till I had to bumped into a wall. 'Wait what the hell a wall?? ? ' I backed away and surely I confirmed myself that this is not a wall 100%.When I looked up, I screamed so loudly and me being stupid I ran back in the maze not daring myself to look back and screamed more loudly when the monster started slashing me on the back which caused some blood (SOMEHOW GEMS HAVE BLOOD) slowly draining out of my back, I kept running till I was pulled back in a corner from one of the dead ends of the maze which the monster was trying they're best to find traces of my blood or my scent. I had my eyes close since I was afraid of anyone who would be just pulling me in so they can tag team this monster or something. "Hey Spinel you can open your eyes now I think the gem ran off.. " I did as the stranger told me and just gasped. "Steven?! I thought you weren't here!" I said just hugging him tight, "Why wouldn't I be here anyway I should probably heal you.. Your back is damaged.. . " He said and walked behind me, tearing up the sleeve of his jacket wiping up the blood, and kissed the scar on my back which I ended up letting a squeak sound. 'His lips are so cold, but it felt good... ' I blushed at my own thoughts and shocked my head in disapproval, "There the scar should be healing but it won't be enough to heal the pain.." He said sighing and looked at me, I looked back at him till we both heard a roaring sound right beside the spot we were."We have to get out here and leave this place. " Steven said whispering to me, I nodded and he toke my hand leading us out of the death end spot, slowly trying not to make any noise to alert the monster.
Tough getting out of here wasn't going to be easy, since we passed the middle of the garden more than 3 times luckily without seeing the monster which was weird but I had feeling we were watched or more followed since I heard footsteps but Steven kept reassuring me it was our footsteps. We kept walking for the 7th time and now Steven was just tired, he sat down and sat down beside him as well, "I'm sure as hell telling the diamonds about all of this.. " He said sighing and looked at my back. "Your back seems to be healing quite well...Does it still hurt? " He asked me slowly touching the scar trailing it with his finger. 'So cold.. . ' I thought and nodded at Steven wincing a bit, Steven stopped what he was doing and pulled out a weird item from his pockets, 'I thinks it's called jail Phone?' I thought staring at his phone. He sighed and put his phone in his pockets, "We should probably keep goi–" He was soon interrupted with a big roar coming out of distance, and there it was running at us in full speed, it was about to claw me again so I closed my eyes just accepting my fate but I didn't feel anything.. .

That was the only sound I heard besides his screams until he was laying there on the floor. I felt so useless and pathetic that I cried not even taking my eyes of him, it roared at me but I couldn't move and just sat there only looking at Steven's body, I thought he was dead, I didn't even care if I was shattered by this monster.
–No one's POV–
The monster was about to try and claw Spinel again but no hit touched her again, this time her eyes were open and she got the moment to process everything and blurted out one word...
"... Pink.. ? "
