Hey There, Audrey (EXO Fanfic)

Chapter 13

Narrator: 

As the clock struck seven, people slowly started to walk in… the guys that is. (EXO, GOT7, 2PM, 2AM, VIXX, SHINee, Super Junior, etc.) The ball took place in a beautiful white venue with marble floors and white pillars. The building itself was built with great height because inside this venue contained a huge white staircase that swirled down to the base of the dance floor. Since the charity is the Princess Foundation, the theme centered around princesses obviously. 

There was a variety of princesses that were waiting behind the burgundy curtains at the top of the staircase. Korean Princesses, Chinese Princesses, Japanese Princesses, Disney Princesses, etc. (SNSD, Brown Eyed Girls, 2NE1, Orange Caramel, Red Velvet, Miss A, etc.) were all present. They were all eagerly waiting for the clock to strike at 7:30, and that was the time when they started to walk out one by one. 

“Where’s Audrey!? She’s the last one to walk out!?”

“I’m sorry! I’m here! I’m here!” she said panting. 

“Come on! Your going in 30 seconds!” 

Audrey was too focused on arriving on time that she didn't even notice how beautiful she looked until she took a step outside the curtains. As soon as she stepped out, she was greeted with a sea of gasps and murmurs. Someone actually started clapping. Audrey’s curled hair was braided into a loose fishtail braid that hung down on her shoulders. She had a smoky eye look that was brushed over with a little bit of gold glitter. Her eyes were intensified with a thin line of black eyeliner that defined her beautiful long lashes. To finish off her already gorgeous features, she applied a nude pink colored blush and deep red lipstick that matched her beautiful long dress.

The word wow escaped the mouth of Xiumin when Audrey stepped out. Xiumin had always though Audrey was pretty but today she wasn't that. She was beyond beautiful. She wasn't even a princess like the other girls, she was a goddess. 

All eyes were on Audrey as she made her way down the staircase, but the only person she was looking at was Kim Minseok. 

“Okay everyone! She was your last princess of the evening! Are you guys ready to have a good time!?” yelled the MC/Host.

“To start off, we are going to play a little game. Okay can we have all the ladies pair up with a gentleman to dance?” 

All the guys were fighting to be Audrey’s dance partner, but the first person to ask her was Tao. 

“May I have this dance?” 

Audrey smiled and replied,“you may.” 

And with that, you hear a row of groans from all the guys behind Tao. 

Xiumin looked at Tao as if Tao had betrayed him. 

“It’s okay everyone! You will switch partners every time the music changes!” reminded the MC. 

The first song was half-way finished before either of them started talking. 

“I thought you hated me..” said Audrey shyly. 

“I still don’t like you, but you’re alright,” responded Tao.

“So why did you ask me to dance then?” 

“So I can do this.”

Suddenly Tao swept her across the dance floor right next to Xiumin and whispered in her ear, “he’s all yours now.” 

And just when he finished, the music changed. “Alright everyone! Switch partners!” 

With no hesitation Xiumin slid his hand around Audrey’s waist and pulled her closer to him.  

(Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud began playing) 

Although she didn't want to face Xiumin ever since that Amanda incident, she couldn't help but surrender to his touch. It’s like her body just gave up and went along with his. There was no communication necessary. Her eyes were firmly locked into his and they just kept dancing and dancing. 

“Okay guys switch partners!” announced the MC, however, they just kept going until the dance officially stopped. 

As they both stood there staring at each other, they both knew a lot of things were going to happen that night.
