Amelia's POV
"...And please if you are going to bring someone home don't embarrass me cause I WILL send him back home. You are free sleep with with who ever i don't care but no babies, I'm way too young to be a grandmother and I certainly won't be paying any hospital bills for any STDs medication or treatment.
Yup, you heard that right, my mother is the devil himself. In the meantime, I'm in school! yay! every teenagers dream. Not. I'm standing in the parking lot listening to my mother give what i think is the 'pre college talk'. Believe me when I say I've had a lot talks and this is the weirdest. I mean there was a time when I wanted to know if my middle schools sprinkler system worked so I lit a match... okay two or three... or four or five... fine! it was a lot, but everything else in that school was crap so I just assumed the sprinklers were too. If you think about it, I actually saved a lot of lives. What if it didn't work? I would have exposed them for who they truly where... I'm sorry, i didn't know where I was going with that. There was also that one time were I was caught cheating.... What! it's not cheating if the marking scheme is stapled to the back of the exam script. Trust me , you would have done the same. Last but not least, poor Benson. This one actually wasn't my fault . I was practicing my shot put ( Nobody: Oh waw Amelia, you're so strong! Me: Oh waw thank you, its all in the wrists) during P.E in middle school and just as I released it, he ran right past me and it landed on his toes. I tried to apologise and defend myself but when the teacher came running to him with his first aid box, he screamed even louder and claimed I threw it at him purposely which might not be false because I remember earlier that day he stole my favorite pen with the fluffy end and claimed he lent it from his sister and I got really angry about it and the school management got to know about. It lets just say I had three weeks off school and an appointment with the cleaners in the mess hall for three weeks. So yeah, I've had a lot of talks and I'm honestly surprised I got into this school with that kind of junk in my files.
Where was I... oh yeah, the talk. She still talking and at this point, I just zone out and stare at her glossed lips and green eyes. That's the only thing I got from her. She's really tall and has the body of a model. All the boys in my middle school had a crush on her which was really disgusting. She didn't want to have any other children because she claimed it would make her fat and ugly but we all know that woman won't gain a pound if even if she sat in front of a TV and ate bags of chips for the rest of her life. Yeah, she's one of those people. My mother may be the devil himself but she has a soft spot for family and I love her.
" Oh and Amelia one more important thing... Don't disgrace your mother" she says the last part whispering. Yeah, I take back everything I just said.
She smiles at me and enters her car.
"Mommy loves you"
"I didn't know mommy was capable of love" I say tilting my head to the side.
"Don't be a brat"
"Love you too"
"Have fun carrying your bags" she smiles and drives aways
"Crafty witch"
I struggle with my bags in hand to the reception and meet a pretty woman with strawberry blonde hair tied in a messy bun on top her head. "Good morning miss, How may I help you?"
"I'm a new here please could I get some help with my bags and directions to my room?".
""Oh no problem,Just sign here and here" she says pointing to the blank spaces on the paper.
"Your room number is 314, you should meet someone at the end of the hall to help you out. Here's your keycard " she says as she hands me my keys with perfectly manicured fingers. I take them quickly so she doesn't see my chewed up nails.
"Thank you" I say politely as I call on someone to help me with my bags and begin to exit the building to the campus area.
I finally get to my room after getting lost four times.I give the handy man an apologetic smile and open my room door and a wave of heavy feminine perfume hits my nose...ok... the room is really neat. Thank heavens, I didn't get a slob for a roommate. I set my bags down and tip the poor man. The room is EVERYTHING. Big windows with blinds, medium sized beds, a toilet door to the left, two dressers and one full mirror. This makes me so happy about my decision to stay in school instead of dropping out to become a stripper or something.(STAY IN SCHOOL KIDS!) I look around the room and something catches my eye on my roommates bed. "Girls life application study bible". Bible? she's a christian? At that moment the door opened to reveal a curly red head and a dark haired girl behind her. The red head speaks first.
"Hi , my name is Skylar Brooks and I'm your roommate"
