I yawn as I pull my ripped, black skinny jeans over my pale legs. I throw my black tank top on before putting my red and black flannel over it, leaving it unbuttoned. I sit down on the floor to slip my feet into my black converse before going to brush my hair. After it's brushed, I throw my long, burgundy hair into a cute, messy bun. I brush my teeth, then do my makeup before putting my bracelets and necklace on. I put in my nose piercing and earrings before grabbing my phone and money, shoving them into my pocket.

I walk out of my room and down the hallway of my tiny apartment before slamming and locking the door. I walk to the elevator, dodging the boxes of my new neighbor's in the hallway. I press the close button multiple times once I see someone making their way toward me, boxes blocking their face.
"Hold that door!" A deep, British accent calls desperately. I immediately rush to the close button, pressing it rapidly. It's just about to close when his foot stops it. I huff as I step back into the corner, my arms across my chest. He sets the boxes down and my breath hitches at the sight of his beautiful green eyes, curly locks of brown hair, and perfectly pink lips.
"Excuse me, Miss." He says as he shuffles closer to me, trying to make more room for the boxes.
"Dude, can you back off?" My American accent rings through the moving elevator. His eyes widen.
"I'm sorry?"
"I don't even know you, and you're all over me." He smirks.
"Hi, I'm Harry." He sticks his hand out, but I slap it away.
"I don't recall asking for your name." I snap, rolling my eyes as I cross my arms over my chest once again.
"Well, may I know your name?" He asks.
"No," I look at him like he's crazy. "You could be some lunatic who wants to murder me or something!"
"I guess there's always that possibility." He chuckles.
"Do I look like I'm kidding?" I quirk an eyebrow. What is taking this damn elevator so long?
"No, but you should. A pretty face like that should never have a frown on it." Harry smiles, quite proud of himself.
"Oh God," I fake gag before rolling my eyes at his cliche. As if on cue, we hear a ding. He picks up his boxes and we head for the front door of the apartment building. We're just about to go our own ways when he stops me by gripping my elbow lightly. I look behind him to see four more boys running this way.
"Ugh, what now?" I groan. He opens his mouth to say something, but one of the other four boys interrupts as they come to a halt beside him. By now, Harry has already let go of my elbow.
"Hi, I'm Liam. These are my mates, Louis, Niall, and Zayn." One with dark brown hair tells me.
"Cool," I reply in an I-really-don't-care tone of voice as I start to walk away.
"Wait, will you tell me your name now?" I sigh in frustration as I turn around, still walking away.
"Hunter," I call back before turning back around and jogging down the sidewalk in the freezing cold winter.
Harry's P.O.V
"She doesn't strike me as a very nice person." Liam jokes as he puts his arm around my shoulders, he and I watching her jog away.
"It's a facade," I whisper as my breath leaves my mouth in a puff of white, "and I'm gonna break it down."
"What?" Liam questions, not hearing me.
"Nothing," I shake out of my trance as we start to walk the opposite way. "Let's go."
