"I said I'd never let you go, and I never did," I sing loudly in the shower. "I said I'd never let you fall, and I always meant it. If you never had this chance, than I never did."
I'm interrupted by my cell phone ringing from the kitchen table.
"Shit," I mutter under my breath as I shut the hot water off and grab a towel to wrap around my wet body.
I rush to the small kitchen attached to the living room, slipping a couple times along the way. I get to it just in time. I slide my finger across the screen and answer it, not looking at the caller identification.
"Hello?" I breath into the speaker.
"Good day, love. It is currently 1:15 in the afternoon, and I was calling to see if it would be an inconvenience of me to ask you to stop by my place at 1:30. That should give you fifteen minutes." Harry's attempt to sound posh makes me laugh breathlessly.
"I was in the shower, you doof. I'm about to go to the gym." I roll my eyes.
"My apologies, miss. I'll see you in fifteen minutes."
"But, Harry-" He cuts me off, not wanting me to protest.
"See you soon, darling." I can practically here his cheeky grin as he hangs up the phone before I get another word in. I go into my room, throwing my phone onto the bed.
I blow dry my long, ombré red hair into natural waves. After brushing my teeth, I pull my grey workout pants over my legs before tossing my sports bra and tank top over my head. I connect the ends of my necklace together once they're around my neck. After putting my hat over my messy hair, I grab my gym bag, keys, phone, and walk across the hall to Harry's.
"Hello, my dear Hunter." Harry smiles, getting out of the doorway to let me in.
"Hey, I really need to go, so can you tell me why you called me over, please?" I ask, not coming in.
"Sure, just come sit down real quick."
"Harry, I really can't st-"
"Great, glad you can stay." He takes my hand and drags me inside.
"I don't have time to-"
"Hunter, this is my mum, Anne. Mum, this is Hunter." My eyes go wide.
"So this is the famous Hunter? She's much prettier than you described her to be." She smiles. His mother is such a beautiful woman.
"Mrs. Styles, I-"
"Anne," she politely corrects.
"Anne," I restart, "I am terribly sorry I look like this. I had no idea-"
