Chapter 6

Chapter Six:

~Zayn’s POV~

We all stopped and stared when Harry and this girl walked hand in hand into the living room, damn that boy moves fast.  What happened to the girl at the grocery store?

Harry spoke.  “Hey guys this is Maddy.  We met the other day at the grocery store.”  Oh so this was the girl from the grocery store.  Not a second after Harry finished speaking, Courtney ran up to Maddy and pulled her away to somewhere else in the house. 

“We’ll be right back.” She called back to us.  Okay good, now we could talk to Harry about what the hell was going on.  All the boys stood there awkwardly, no one really wanting to be the first one to speak.  I decided we had to get this over with and we only had so much time before Maddy and Courtney came back.

I stepped forward.  “So Harry, what’s going on with you and Maddy? She is the girl you were telling me about earlier, right?” I asked him while Niall nudged him with a smirk on his face.

“Yeah, and umm  I was apologising to her about how I didn’t get to say goodbye at the grocery store and then she just kissed me.  I kissed her back of course; I mean who wouldn’t, she’s gorgeous.  But damn, it was a good kiss and it got pretty heated…. But anyways I won’t go into details.  When we stopped I asked her out on a date for Wednesday, and she said yes. So, yeah….”  He spoke quickly then looked at me and the boys nervously which was very unlike his usual slow, steady and calm tone of voice.  Louis was in the study skyping El so Harry would have to explain to him again later.

Liam spoke first.  “Sounds good Haz, where are you going to take her on Wednesday night?”

Harry looked relieved.  “I’m not exactly sure yet.  I was hoping you boys could help me figure something out.  Especially because we don’t really know any good restaurants or date spots around here.” He said hopefully.  We all nodded, happy to help.

“I could ask Courtney maybe?” Niall said, he was grinning. I think little Nialler was starting to develop a bit of a thing for Courtney.

“Yeah, could you? It would be a lot of help.  Just make sure she doesn’t tell Maddy anything, I want it to be a surprise.” Harry said, looking at Niall who nodded as he understood.

~Louis’ POV~

I was talking to El on skype, man I loved seeing her face and talking to her.  She was just so perfect.  She was just telling me about the details of her new work contract.  She had found out a couple weeks ago that Burberry wanted her to be the face of their new collection and she was so excited.  I was so proud of her, she truly deserved it.  But, this would also put more strain on our relationship as it would make it harder for us to visit each other with her busy year ahead, and my school work.

I interrupted her.  “I love you so much El, you know that right?”

“Of course I do, and I love you too Louis.  Why the sudden words of affection?” She asked with a smile on her face.

“I don’t know. I just love you.” I replied, now smiling because she was smiling and it was contagious.

The next thing I knew, Courtney and another girl come running into the room laughing. El spotted them straight away too.

“Who are you girls?” she asked politely.

They came and stood behind my chair and introduced themselves to Eleanor. “Hi I’m Courtney and this is Maddy” Courtney explained confidently. “These are our next door neighbours” I told her and the girls nodded in approval. El just smiled and nodded “Nice to meet you… well see you” she said shyly while giggling a little at the same time. I couldn’t help but notice that all of a sudden she wasn’t her confident self. But I just assumed she was just tired and stressed.

“I’m so sorry Boobear but I have to go now, it’s really late over here and I have an early study period tomorrow morning. Talk to you soon okay?”

“Yes of course!” I screamed.

She smiled and I did too. It was so good to see her smile. “I love you” I said.

“I know.” She replied with a smile.

And with that, the call ended. I shut the laptop and turned around to see Courtney and Maddy just smiling at me. “You guys are so cute together! You’re perfect for each other.” Maddy said. “Thanks, I love her so much” I replied. And that was true, Eleanor was my true love. The room was silent as I day dreamt about being right next to Eleanor at the present moment. I thought I should break the silence between the girls and I so I asked them “what brought you ladies into the study?”

“Oh we just have a little girl to girl discussing that we needed to do” Courtney explained.

“Okay then! Well I will leave you girls to it! I’m just about to go order pizza, any requests?” I asked.

“Margarita!” Courtney yelled which was then followed by “Pepperoni!” from Maddy.

“Okay sounds good.” I said before leaving the girls to do their thing.

~Liam’s POV~

The pizzas finally arrived after a long wait.  Everyone was sitting around the dining room table, there wasn’t much talking because everyone was so hungry, but then Courtney spoke.

“Oh yeah Maddy, I forgot to tell you.  The boys are starting at NYU this year.  Isn’t that great?  We can show them around and stuff!” Courtney said to Maddy smiling widely.

“Oh really? That’s so good!” Maddy said smiling at Harry in the process. “Maybe we will be in some of the same classes.” She said this to all of us but you could tell it was mostly directed at Harry.

“Yeah hopefully.” Harry smiled looking at her.  They would make a cute couple.

“Okay well we better get going, it’s getting late and Maddy and I have to get up early for class tomorrow.  When do you boys start?” Courtney asked.

I spoke next. “I think Paul said something about starting next Monday because we still have to get settled and buy everything we need.”

“Okay cool, well bye then.” Maddy said and leaned down to give Harry a kiss on the cheek.

Harry grinned.  “I will text you about Wednesday, okay?” Harry said to Maddy.

“Yep, see you then.” She smiled and Courtney and her walked out with a final wave.

Well that was an eventful day....
