Normally he wouldn't go outside when it snowed, but the bounty was getting cramped with them all huddling together. The heat system was broken and it took Jay longer than expected to fix it. Kai naturally had most of the team glued to him, being the master of fire he had a high body temperature constantly, so it didn't surprise the earth master that people would be hanging around the brunette. Tho he knew it would only be a matter of time before someone found out that Cole was the next warmest, he didn't know why but he rarely froze the cold didn't bother him too much. And as soon as the others had found out they had been shifting between the fire master and earth master, the two never really getting a break. Tho Cole had taken it upon himself to get a break and in the late hours he had left the bounty, the town closest to them had a small park where he had found a bench and settled down.

He leaned back and looked up at the dark blue sky, the sun had set hours ago and stars was beginning to peak out, he enjoyed watching the stars and small villages like this was the perfect place to do it. You couldn't see them in the big cities, too much street and neon light. But out here... you could see everything, even the smallest of them were glowing bright up there on the dark cover.

" Excuse me sir, would you mind if I sit beside you ? "

Coles brown eyes returned back to the ground, a young woman was standing beside him, a cup of something warm in her hand, her other hand was shoved deep into her pocket of the light grey fake-fur jacket she wore. Cole smiled weakly and nodded gesturing to the seat beside him.

" It would be my pleasure "

Giving a weak thank you in return she carefully sat down beside him, a low sigh leaving her as she too leaned back and looked up at the stars.

A long moment passed before any of them spoke, but as the girl took a small sip of her beverage she looked at Cole and spoke.

" So what brings you to the star bench ? "

He crooked a bushy eyebrow and rested his head in a hand, he had never heard of a bench with a name.

" The star bench... hmm never knew it had a name "

The girl hummed and crossed her legs over one another, resting the cardboard cup on her thigh.

" It has a name believe it or not. This very bench is the best place in the entire park to watch stars from that and some famous person is said to have found their true love here, tho I like the first story better "

Cole chuckled before he sighed returning his eyes to the small white dots high above him,

" It is a great place to watch from, and while I haven't heard the two stories I think I would like the first one better too "

Again silence filled the air for a long moment, and again the girl was the one to break it.

" I'm Sal by the way "

" Cole "

Was all he said and turned towards her, reaching a hand out for her to shake. Smiling she shaked his hand, before returning to look up to the dark sky.

" So again, what brings you here Cole ? "

A low sigh left him as he leaned back,

" Heat system broke at home my friend thats suppose to fix it had some trouble and me and another guy at home have the highest body temperature, so everyone are like glued to us "

Sal hummed and took another sip of the drink,

" I know that problem. I had a boyfriend that did the same. Tho ever since he kicked me out, I've been keeping warm on hot cocoa "

She said with a weak smile and held the cup up, Cole couldn't stop himself from laughing softly at that,

" If you don't mind me asking Sal, where did you get that. I could go for some "

" Oh, there a small stand right down the path, I'll be happy to show it to you "

Cole smiled standing up holding his arm out for Sal to take.

" Not to be pushy my dear, but I would love to go there and I'll happily pay for us both "

Sal smiled as she stood up, locking her own arm with his.

" Then please follow me "

Two hours later Cole and Sal reached the gateway to the park, both laughing softly and smiling. Sal sighed and slipped her arms out from Coles, locking her bright blue eyes with his.

" Well Cole, it's been really nice to spend the evening with you, I hope we can do it again soon. You have been a true blessing compared to that jock I knew "

Cole just gave a chuckle and took her hand giving it a soft squeeze,

" Well Sal, I enjoyed this as well and now that you got my number we can figure out when and where to meet next. "

" Sounds like a great idea Cole. "

For a few seconds they just looked at eachother blue eyes resting with the dark brown once, never letting her sight from his own, he butterfly kissed the back of her hand before finally letting go.

" And just one last thing, if that ex-boyfriend of yours shows up and bothers you. Please call me and I'll be there as quick as possible "
