Rain started lashing down as Ada began her long walk home from the library. As she rushed home, a car much like her brother Tommy's took a harsh turn through an ice cold puddle completely drenching her small fraim, "Just hit me with the fucking car next time" She yelled, almost breathless with outrage.
The car came to a halt as the man driving it popped his head out the window, "My bad love, Terrible weather" He stated, an arrogant smile plastered on his face wich Ada found to be annoyingly attractive. "Hurry up then, get in the car, oh and try not to get the seats wet" She swore if he didn't look so good in a suit she would have killed him by now.
"If you don't stop talking, I'm going to take my scarf and wrap it around your bloody neck" The brunette threatened, enraged by the unknown man. "What the hell makes you think I would get in your car, we've never even met before"
"Your checks go red when your angry" He pointed out, "It's cute"
Ada looked to the floor, her hair to short to cover the blush that flushed to her pale cheeks "Who the fuck are you then?"
"Harry Carter" He said with a wink taking of his peaky cap, "Thomas sent me ere to keep an eye on you. So get in the bloody car, he'd kill me if I let you get a cold my first day on the job"
With a heavy sigh Ada made her way to the passangers side, "How wonderful for me" She said, her words dripping with sarcasm. Which just made Harry smile, that stupid smile, the cocky smirk that made Ada want to slap and kiss him all at the same time.
"Must be your lucky year" He replied, "Your brothers didn't mention how pretty you are"
"Flattery will get you nowhere" she quipped, "Now drive the fucking car"
