The Return Book Two in the Dark Start series

Chapter 1

I stood up and looked around. "Where the hell are you? You don't think I can kill you, I killed the other thing." You can't do shit, the only reason you are alive is because of me. I stood up and saw a shadow of something standing in a tunnel.
My name is Damien, I'm going to kill you. I turned and ran towards the elevator that was there. A tentacle flew past me and pressed the elevator button and the elevator went flying up.
I turned and a tentacle flew at my chest. I grabbed it and it pushed farther towards me. I started sliding back and then pushed the tentacle to the side and ran towards the cables of the elevator.
I grabbed the cable and started pulling myself up when a tentacle grabbed my ankle and pulled me down to the ground. I fell and rolled onto my side and then stood up, out of energy.
I watched as the outline of a figure walked towards me. I ran towards a tunnel behind me and started following the tunnel. You can never escape me, you are me, you are a part of me.
I turned the corner of a part of the tunnel and then something sticking out of the ground tripped me. I stood up and looked back. The outline of "Damien" was behind me. I started running again and then started seeing light shining in from the top of the tunnel. There were holes in the top of the tunnel and light was shining through.
     I looked up as I kept running and then a couple feet away on the top of the tunnel there was a big hole. I picked up my speed and looked down at my arms. My vision blurred and I jumped up towards the hole and got halfway through.
     I pulled myself out of the hole and started running away from the hole. I tripped again and saw someone in a red coat running at me. "Like I said you can't escape me, I'm everywhere." I started running again. I saw the BigY ahead and ran into the BigY.
    I ran through the doors and a cop stared at me and pulled his pistol out. "What the hell are you doing?" He asked me and I answered "Run, he's coming." I turned to my right and ran away from the cop and hid behind a shelf and looked out from the corner.
    The lights flickered for a second and then I watched as Damien walked into the store and stood about a foot away from the cop. Damiens arm extended and turned into a tentacle and the cop said "What the hell?" And raised his pistol. The tentacle shot into the cops throat and the cop stood still and then the tentacle came out of his mouth and turned back into his arm.
    "Find him and bring him to me." Damien said and the cop turned towards the shelf I was hiding behind and walked towards me with his pistol raised.
     The cop walked towards me and then stopped right in front of the shelf I was hiding behind and turned to his left and kept walking. I stood up and followed behind him very quietly. The lights flickered and then when they cam back on the cop was aiming his pistol at my head.
     I punched him in the stomach and then he tackled me and raised his fist. I raised my hands and snapped his neck and pushed him off me. I grabbed his pistol and walked around the corner and right into Damien.
    I shot him in the head and his head snapped back and then he looked at me. The hole in his forehead grew back into skin. "Shit." I said and he swung at my head and I ducked and aimed the pistol at his body and shot rapidly at him.
    He stepped back and then there was a click of my pistol out of ammo. I dropped it as Damiens skin and jacket grew back and turned and ran. I ran towards the doors and looked back as Damien ran at me. I turned quickly and wanted the shelves to fall down in front of him or hit him, and that's when the shelves fell in front him.
     I felt a pain in my heart and then turned and kept running. I ran out of the BigY and towards the middle of town. "Where do I go, Jacks house!" I said out loud as I ran towards Jacks house. I reached his driveway and then looked at the lights that were on in his house. I turned around and looked behind me, making sure Damien wasn't here and then I stepped onto the doorsteps and knocked on the door.
