"The most dangerous demons live in our hearts... We breed our own demons. Sometimes people are worse than demons."
Emily had never seen demons or other mystical creatures, but she still believed in them. And how not to believe, if it is written in the books, even if your "family" denies it. Emily simply believed, not expecting any proof. She had thought that demons were a separate being from man, a different race, and that they had a home far from human habitations. But over time, she had to see the opposite. Demons not only live their lives, they are the second half of any human. About them or do not know, or do not notice, or reliably hide, and someone on the contrary, with pleasure goes to their embraces.
Emily had seen the cruelty of men. She didn't know why they were acting like this, but remembering what was written in the books, she thought there must be a reason. Even if it hurts physically or mentally, she will not retaliate, because it is bad. And if bad, then it is impossible.
When, as a child, she was attacked by a terrible beast, leaving a scar on her face and shoulder, she noticed a change in herself. Sharp teeth, nails, great physical strength, endurance, wound healing, and at full moon, short-term memory loss and complete loss of human appearance. Then she realized ... she was half demon.
She tried to hide it, but eventually the truth came out. When the twins said they would accept her for who she was, it was like a stone had fallen from her soul. Does that mean there are" good " demons? Or that she was human after all?
Subsequent events have begun again to convince her otherwise. Bill Cypher. Outwardly he looked more like an ordinary triangle, albeit somewhat resembling a man and having a mind, than a toothy and horned monster, but even in this seemingly harmless appearance, he showed himself to be a real Devil in the flesh. He had tried to capture dipper's body, which he had succeeded in doing, and even when, with Jack's help, they had been able to expel him... Was He really gone, or was there some particle left in the pine boy's soul?

Dipper? Are you going? she asked a little louder, noticing that after Mabel had called to them he hadn't moved, as if he hadn't heard. As she came closer and patted his shoulder, she heard a soft laugh.
"Yes, I'm coming." Just think. he turned and scratched his head, then grabbed her hand and walked out of the house. Everything seemed normal, but ... She could have sworn she saw his normally brown eyes turn yellow and his pupils take the shape of a cat's. He was also smiling terribly. Like Bill.

Over such as they always scoff. Mabel and Emily were no exception. For someone they are the best and closest people, for someone on the contrary, eccentrics. And now they are both mocked by the rich and popular girls of the school. Emily immediately remembers Jack and Pacifica, and, convincing herself that at heart they were good guys and even friends, is silent, while the brown-haired woman smiles widely, flashing a snow-white smile. There are no braces in her teeth any more, and a shock of wavy, collected in a tail of chocolate hair, is decorated with a set of brilliant hairpins.
"They're not bad. They're not on purpose. Emily whispers to herself as she feels anger and resentment rising deep in her heart, as well as a desire to stand up for her friend. "They don't know her well, that's all. No need to be angry.
But when they approach the brown-haired woman, and, as if not noticing the brunette, begin to push her to the floor, tear off jewelry and even hit her in the face, everything inside her empties and breaks off, instantly filling with burning anger and the desire to hurt them, so that they feel the same as Mabel herself.
She can't remember what happened next. It was as if she had closed her eyes, and when she opened them, she was clutching the broken wrist of one of the offenders. There was fear in their eyes. They were crying and screaming in pain. One had a broken arm and several ribs, and the body of the other was covered with cuts from which blood flowed. A normal person would never do something like that, even in a fit of anger. Only a monster, a real demon, could do that.
Lips tremble, with them is ready fall a series of apology, but than this will help. They will not heal their wounds or relieve their pain. Will make it worse. This error cannot be corrected. Mabel's not around. Probably ran after Dipper. She saw it all. She will fear and hate her. She had reason to do so.
"Not bad, not bad. I was wondering when you'd stop letting other people wipe your feet and get rid of all this useless pity. I've never understood this trait in humans. I just don't have it, and you, oddly enough, do. But this is not surprising, after all you only half daemon, and on second all also remain mortal. a male, ear-splitting, mechanical voice echoes in her head. The Voice Of Bill Cipher.

"My demon-near me-everywhere, night, day,
"Intangible, like air, is not available,
"It floats around, it enters the chest with fire,
"He's thirsty, and the eternal criminal."
The realization that there is more than one person inside you, bloodthirsty, terrible, eager to hurt and kill everyone... that fact is almost impossible to accept. It makes you depressed, it keeps you away from your loved ones, it causes pain and fear.
"Emily, are you all right? Don't think about what happened at school. It's not your fault. Those girls deserved it. If you hadn't interfered, Mabel would have been the same as you. Dipper stepped cautiously into the brunette's room, not knowing how to comfort her. He didn't like to see her depressed. It was scary. She is so fragile and sensitive, who knows how all this stress will affect her.
The girl sits on the bed with her knees pressed to her chest. She was silent, not turning to him. But suddenly she looked up sharply and narrowed from fear gray eyes began to look over the room, like he was here for the first time. It was as if she saw something he didn't. Then she buried her nose in her lap, covering her face with her hands.

Empty gray space. Bill hangs in the air not far from Dipper, who seems quite frightened by what is happening. Suddenly a black arm triangle pokes a finger in the chest of the boy, making a face of brown distorts even more fear. Thin fingers snap fingers and the boy's body disappears, dissolving into blue fire, in his eyes for a second there are crosses.
And now his body already takes up the bill. His eyes are bright yellow, with a narrow pupil. Dipper himself becomes something like a Ghost. His translucent body hovers in the air, with a kind of despair watching the new owner of his former body. But noticing that Mabel and Emily are running after him, mistaking him for the real Dipper, he reaches out a frightened hand to them, but cannot warn them and disappears.

"There are demons inside us. In the afternoon we practically normal people, and at night the contrary, evil. But that's not so bad. After all, we can still be together, honey. — soothingly whispering to the Beeper as it is in such a state calls Mabel, swiping a hand through the long blue-black hair and looking into his empty gray eyes.
— True. Even so, I still know you're you, Dipper pines. Even if you're half a monster, I can't hate you or throw you out of my heart. Maybe it makes me a weak person, but I just can't. there are glistening tears running down her pale, girlish cheeks, but a faint smile on her lips. She spreads her arms, smiling happily through her tears. — But we are no longer alone, and we accept each other." Isn't that enough for demons like us?
— Yeah. he smiles back, looking at her with his usual hazel eyes, taking her in his arms and hugging her fragile body to him, digging his fingers into her thick hair.
"And maybe one day, we can tame our inner demons.»
