Thursday

My idea of sitting at Leo's table did not consist of me stuck in the janitor's closet with the Leo, Chris and Jaime. For the first time in a long time, Chris was hanging out with his guy friends instead of Linda.

"Jenna, pretty please do this, we'll owe you if you do this just please," Jaime begged me and I glared at all of them.

I had tried to cross my arms over my chest in indignation but I ended up dropping all the rolls of tissue that had been neatly organized so I clenched my fists instead.

"I'm not doing it," I snapped and Jaime groaned.

"I just need to find out why Tessa broke up with me," Jaime begged and I shook my head.

Tessa was one of Gabriella's minions along with Lara. She was insanely pretty and she was also a cheerleader so yes she was a bit bitchy. Tessa and Gabby were inseparable meaning wherever Tessa was Gabby was near and I was in no mood for an interaction with Gabby. How would I even ask anyway? Would I just go why did you break up with Jaime or would I have to pretend to actually care first?

None of the options appealed to me which is why I wouldn't do it.

"Probably because you're a douche," I mumbled with an eye roll and Jaime glared at me.

"Leo, tell him I'm not doing it," I turned to Leo and he shrugged making me inwardly gasp.

I was betrayed by my beloved.

"Chris," I gave him one of my best vulnerable looks that were always met with sympathy and he caved.

"Sorry Jaime, but Jenna can't do it," he said and I gave him my brightest smile.

"I owe you big time bro," I told him and he nodded while both of his friends glared at him. "If they're mad at you, you can always hang out with me not that you don't already."

He winked making Leo glare at him and he stopped smiling which made me chuckle.

As soon as we exited the janitor's closet I excused myself to the ladies toilet and I heard sniffling as soon as I entered the toilet. I tried my best not to investigate but curiosity got the better of me so I softly knocked on the door of the toilet.

"Go away," I heard a soft voice say followed by more sniffles.

"Are you okay?" I asked before realizing that was a stupid question.

"What do you think?" the person snapped and I contemplated leaving them crying but the good person in me decided to persist.

"It's Jenna," I introduced myself before I heard a scoff.

"Oh you're Leo new toy."

Toy?

I was his girlfriend for crying out loud but okay. I took in several deep breaths to calm myself before replying.

"I'm actually his girlfriend," I explained and I heard another scoff. "Want to talk about what happened?"

"I broke up with Jaime," I heard the girl say and I cursed.

It was Tessa. Holy Shit!

"Why?" I questioned deciding there was no way to be subtle about this.

I had to be direct about this if I wanted to give Jaime answers. He deserved them. There was nothing worse than having someone break up with you and not knowing why.

"Because," Tessa responded with a sniffle. "I'm not good enough for him. I cheated on him with his cousin and I guess I didn't want him to find out so I broke it off before he found out."
