Ashraf's POV
We reached our destination a bit late because mum insisted we meet the doctor. She was worked up for no reason because the doctor said there is nothing to be worried about for now.

"Wow this college is even bigger than I imagined" I was amazed.
"Shall we?" My mum asked. I turned and gave her a cheeky grin "yes!"

We both climbed out of the car and went to the car trunk when an elderly man came to us with a genuine smile. "Welcome to Crescent College my name is Johnson" we exchanged pleasantries and thanked him.

Mum and I headed towards the administration block . A young woman of about twenty to twenty five years of age, with a round face, grey eyes, chocolate skin complexion, wavy brown hair, with the height of 5'0 waved at us. "Over here!"

My mum and I shared a look of "wow" having the feeling that we will be great friends, we walked towards her "Miss Hadid right?" The bubbly woman asked.
"Yes that's me" I answered her wondering how she knew my name.
"Just guessed and by the way you didn't resume early" she said all together answering my thought.
Shooting her one of my best smiles, I said "we were not in town".
She nodded and exchanged pleasantries with mum mum while I was taking a good look at the place.
She introduced herself as Miss. Rosie Anderson.

"Türk müsün ( are you Turk?)?" My mum asked her.
"Evet evet !!!!!(yes!!!!!)" She clapped her hands and hugged my mum.
"This is amazing!!!!" Miss Rosie exclaimed happily making my laugh.

She quickly searched for my name and all the necessary information before giving me the number of my dorm room on a small card. I asked for my suitcases she said Mr Johnson has taken them to my dorm room.
She also told me that whenever I needed someone to talk to or when I'm having any sort of problem, I shouldn't hesitate to meet her at anytime. With that, we thanked her and left.

The campus was situated at the back of the school. We couldn't walk because it was quite a distance. So mum suggested that we drive there not before reminding me that I will have to walk to class everyday which was a painful reminder but I could use some exercise.

On our way there, My mind was in turmoil.

"Mum?"
"Hmm?" She absentmindedly answered.
"I'm really scared. You know I have never been to a place where I don't know anyone" I said surprising myself. I didn't plan on telling her how I felt not exactly knowing how I spilled it out.
She glanced at me and sighed moving her whole attention to me.

"Ashraf my child, I understand how you feel. I really do but it is time to grow up. You have to be able to face challenges that are thrown your way and also be able to solve problems and bring yourself out of critical situations at all times. You have to be independent, explore the world and see what the future holds. Don't keep on looking at the past. I know letting go is hard but at least try. Don't you think God is giving you another chance and opportunity to start afresh? Don't you? So please try and think about what I've told you. You coming to this college might be a blessing in disguise. Socialize more and stop being an introvert. You weren't like this before this before and you know it."

"Mum people change" I said as a matter of fact.
"Yes I know but you didn't change for the good" she said raising a brow. "Try and get a boyfriend" she winked at me.
I gasped "Mum??!!!! Since wh-"
"Shhhhh" she chuckled wiggling her eyebrows at me.
This isn't my mother. What happened to the Iron Lady?
"People change you know" she glanced at me and smirked.

"Thanks mum for everything. Really. I will try my best not to let you down" I held her hands and squeezed them.
"Anytime my baby. We are here"

Mum drove past a huge black gate before stopping in front of a cream colored building which I believed was for the girls.
