Chapter 2

Y/N's POV

My mind has been rattling all day, what does she want to talk about? Is she disowning me? Wait why would she want to disown me? I didn't do something wrong did I?

It's currently 9:30pm and she's supposed to be home by 9:45pm, I'm just so nervous I can't sit straight. To pass time I go on my phone and watch more TikToks.

I hear the door bell ring after a while and go to answer the door, it was my mom. She looked good, as always, and even happy, this meant something bad was going to happen to me.

"Sweetheart we need to talk," she said as she walked in and sat on the couch. "What do we need to talk about?" I asked. "Well I met this guy, and he's really nice! We've met a couple of times in person, and I think he's the right one, we've been together for over 3 years and I love him and he lives in Ohio," mom says, HOLD ON HOW COME SHE DIDN'T TELL ME?! WHY AM I FINDING OUT ABOUT THIS JUST NOW?! "Mom how could you keep a secret like this from me? For this long?  I don't even know this man! How could you..?" I sit down in disbelief, I love my mom and want her to be happy, but this was just wrong! How could she not tell me? How did she keep it a secret for so long? "That's why I'm telling you this, he's coming to visit in a couple of days with his son, I want you to meet them," my mom said looking guilty, I mean she should be! But I can't stay mad at her for long, she's my mom and I love her dearly! I can't live without her, and if she found someone she loves and is happy, I'm going to be happy for her, that's the least I could do after she's been through so much right? "So are you planning to get married?" I ask her, I little hesitantly she nods her, "we would like that," she says. That would either mean we had to move, or they'd move here. "We're already engaged, and plan to move, next month.." she finishes and I freeze, how could I just get up and leave, leave everything, my friends, the home I've always lived in! Without saying another word I walked to my room and slammed the door.

TIME SKIP

"WHAT I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO MOVE AWAY!!!!" Alice yelled and hugged me, I can't with them right now, "can't you guys see I am stressed right now? Omg," I say in a sarcastic sassy voice, I want to lighten the mood. "I mean , your mom should've told you about her boyfriend, that was wrong," David said, he was right, she should have told me! I still can't believe she wouldn't tell me something so important! After all I've told her every single one of my secrets from my crush to my biggest fear and worry, and she didn't even think of telling me! Either way I was going to meet them this weekend and I am actually kind of looking forward to it.

TIME SKIP

It's Saturday! Today's the day I'm meeting them! I am excited, they're coming all the way from Korea, just to meet me! Can you believe it? I can't! They said they were going to be here for a couple days, but wanted to spend that time looking around, so my mom being the kind women she was offered to show her fiancé around, that means I'll have to spend time with his son! I don't even know his sons name yet! How am I supposed to ask friends with him? Nonetheless I finish getting ready.

I walked downstairs to see my mom cooking while setting the table, she looked beautiful in her favourite black dress, but also worried out of her mind! I could tell by the fast way she was putting plates on the table and and quickly took the last few things out of the oven and set them on the table as well.

Not long after I hear the door bell ring and my mom rushes to the door, there I see him, a medium height Korean man that looked to be in his early 40s, he looked friendly and had a huge smile on his face. He gave my mom a hug and a kiss on the lips, then looked at me, "your daughter is beautiful! Hello Y/N! Your mom's told me so much about you!" He said and gave me a tight hug, I hugged him back and then let go, I looked behind him to see his son... and omg IT WAS NOT WHO I EXPECTED!!!!
