enrique guzman as robert "bobby" yahir vega. the youngest of five children, bobby had always been gifted in the supernatural. as a child, he had been bullied at school because english was not his first language. his father was the ambassador to mexico in australia and therefore, bobby first learned spanish in the home. once he got to high school age, he applied and got into one of the most prestigious schools in the country--the sydney marine academy. he vowed to keep his town and his country safe.
(enrique guzman is the one on the left, if anyone wants to know, the one on the right is cesar costa. both were rock n' roll pioneers in mexico during the 60s. this picture was taken in 1964, guzman was only twenty one years old.)

carolina gaitan as hayley michelle reid. a girl who came from a modest family and falls in love with a boy she had known her entire life, her neighbor robert vega. being the same age, they were in all the same classes up until high school, when he enrolls in the marine academy. they are thirteen when robert first asks her out. both of them had known each other for so long and had liked each other for so long that everyone in their neighborhood thought they would end up married eventually.

at the moment i seem to have some kind of obsession with creating spin offs of my stories. but please don't be mad and bear with me.
i just had to make this story a reality. to be honest, ever since i started the MITM series, my favorite characters (besides harley, ash, and calum) were arthur and bobby because they were so badass. even when i wasn't writing anything about them, i still have a file in my computer with back story notes about them.
now arthur has gotten some of his back story told in the series, and he also has his own spin off called "in another life" (or it might be something else. i cant remember the name right now and im too lazy to go back and look for it. sorry arthur, i love you). so i though bobby deserved to have his story told as well. this will follow most of what you all already know. bobby in the 60s. and as you all know, he dies around 1972, which is the year that arthur is born.
so this story will follow that twelve year span.
alsoooo, i know i used to have bobby played by my boy isaac brizuela from chivas. and i still love him. he's my boy. but recently i've become infinitely obsessed with enrique guzman. for my mexicans out there like me, you may recognize him as alejandra guzman's dad. in his hay day he was very nice to look at. very handsome.
in the picture above, he was 21 years old and starring in the movie "la juventud se impone" alongside his best friend cesar costa.
he was dreamy as hell and i swear on god that my crush looks exactly like him.
