The second the vase shattered I knew all hell would break loose, I had to clean up before mother see's but unfortunately today is not my day at all. My mom walked into the living room anger clear in her face, my mother's pale complexion really doesn't hide her emotions I hope I don't die today but the glint in her pale blue eyes tell me otherwise.
"Uhh, sorry mom I stumbled."
Silence being my only answer I fiddle with my fingers behind my back. However mother just lifted her finger up and pointed towards the stairs , I knew all too well that I should leave this room before shit hits the fan.
I quickly stumbled up the stairs and shut my bedroom door and flopped face first into my cotton filled pillows. I tried to think of something else to ease my mind.
Big brown eyes popped into my head,my heart beat increased by the second. There was something about Melody that just made my mind run in circles all day , I could barely concerntrate in class today because of her beautiful eyes.
I stood up from my bed and walked towards my windows that were barricaded and have never been opened since my family moved in. I stepped away from the window the need to see the sun rays in my room is all I want but I decide against it. Instead I turned and walked to my father's office, the walk through the hallway made the walk seem longer.
I knocked on the wooden double doors of his office, a faint "come in" could be heard. As I expected my father is seated behind a big desk with piles and piles of documents on it, he looks up from the white sheet.
"Yes Parker what do you need?"
That's my father for you always quick to the point. I looked at my father and I realised that he looked so tired he must have been up all night yet again signing all those documents. The dark circles under his eyes were a dead give away. His once brown hair has specks of grey in them. Wow, he's gotten old over the centuries I'm brought back into reality when my father said my name.
"Uh yes dad...Umm I needed to ask you something real quick."
"Get on with it boy." He sighs.
"Do you know if there were any other celestial beings banished to earth or are just roaming on this planet like ourselves?"
I saw the hesitance in his eyes before he sighed deeply and answered me.
"Son I'm afraid so, have you seen any?"
I wasn't sure if I should tell him about Melody's aura.
"No."
You could see he wanted to argue my answer but just left me and I dismissed myself from his office.
When I was back in my room my thoughts were confirmed for sure, my mother would kill me. For the first time in 7 years I opened my blinds and what I saw knocked the breath out of my lungs. My eyes met with the familiar brown eyes that haunt my mind every second of the day. The surprise is evident in her eyes just like mine. Damn who knew my neighbour all along was Melody.
