The cafe

I went to a close by library, not bothering to tell Hanji what happened. I found an opened seat and sat down. Luckily for me, this was a computer that didn't require me to log in. I started to research for jobs and schools that I could apply for. I couldn't find any schools that had a low fee for students. But I did find another job. This one had a great pay. It was another part time cafe job, just like the one I had now. The cafe was actually closer to where I lived and the school. I hesitated before applying for it because I was scared that someone might find me working there. I clicked the apply button. Well, too late now. Besides I needed the job. I gave in my resume and waited for a reply. A few minutes passed. What was I doing? Of course they weren't gonna reply right away. I started to look for more jobs while I waited, just in case I couldn't get the part time at the cafe.

My phone rang in my pocket. It was pretty old but it was something. I could still receive emails and calls from it, but that was all.

I took my phone out from my pocket and opened it.

You Have Mail, the message said. I opened the email and saw that I already had a reply for the part time job.

To Levi Ackerman,

Thank you for your resume and I'm happy to say that you are accepted. Please call ******* to determine your interview date. Thank you.

Manager

Wowowowow! I got accepted already? I quickly dialed the phone number and waited for someone to pick up. 3 seconds later, a male answered.

"Hello, this is Levi Ackerman. I'm calling for my interview date."

"Great, so I was wondering when you are free?"

"Well, I know this is short notice, but is it possible that I can do it today?"

"Actually, I was hoping you would say that too, because we really need someone in right away. We recently opened the cafe and we need workers right away. So what time could you come in by?"

"Umm." I looked at the clock. It was 2:56 pm. "I could come at around 3:30. Is that okay?"

"Yeah! Great. Then I'll see you there. Bye"

"Bye"

I hung up. I got up from my seat and made sure I had everything I needed and left the library to go home and change. I had to look good for my interview.

By the time I got home, it was already 3:02. I took a quick shower and got dressed in black jeans, a white dress shirt, and a black and red checkered sweater. I looked in the mirror before heading out. 3:22 I had 8 minutes to get there.

I ran out of the house until I was halfway to the cafe. I began to walk and cool down. I started to practice what I was going to say in the interview until I realized I made it to the cafe. I walked inside and saw the clock. Two minutes early.

"Hi. What can I get you?" A cheerful voice said to me.

"Oh no. I'm not here to order anything. I'm here for an interview with the manager. Umm, do you know where your manager might be?"

"Yeah. He should be upstairs getting ready to meet you. You can sit over there on the couch while you wait for him." She pointed to the couch in the back.

"Ok. Thank you." I made my way to the couch and waited for the manager. While I was waiting, I reviewed the things I should be saying and the questions he might ask.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Levi Ackerman. Are you ready for you're interview?" I heard him say. It was a voice I knew all too well.

I looked up and saw Eren Jeager.
