Hermitcraft Christmas Prompts!

Day 8: Finding the perfect present

Doc had been thinking about this for a few weeks now, and with Christmas quickly approaching, he felt that it was the perfect time to do it now.

Do what? You may ask, well getting his eternity of course! Or, in simpler words, propose to Grian.

Just thinking about it made him giddy. Proposing! He was going to propose to the love of his life!

So that's why he was now at a jewelry, browsing the rings section.

"Yeah need any help?" asked a store worker, coming up to stand next to him.

"It would be appreciated," said Doc bashfully, a light blush spreading across his face.

The man kindly smiled at him, "Alright, well can you describe this person to me? What are they like?"

"Where do I begin?" asked Doc, a dreamy look on his face as a smile spread across his face, "He's kind, adorable, sweet, amazing, caring, funny, breathtaking, strong, and he's a bit of a prankster but it's part of his charm and I couldn't love him more for it!"

"You really love him, huh?" chuckled the worker, "Now mind telling me his birthstone? And your's to if it's not to much"

Doc was confused as to why the worker wanted his birthstone too, he got why they wanted Grian's but not his, "His birthstone is peridot and mines ruby"

"Thank you! Can you wait here whilst I go get a few rings you might like?" asked the worker, a giddy smile on his face.

Doc waved him off, still confused but happy to get some help with this.

He didn't have to wait long before the worker, who he just now saw was named Mike came back with two boxes, "I thought we had more, but these are the only ones I really feel fit"

Mike set them down and opened them both, and Doc instantly knew the second ring was the one. It looked like the classic engagement ring, except instead of having the usual silver band this one was rose gold, and instead of a diamond and smaller diamonds it had a peridot and small rubies around it, "It's perfect," breathed Doc in awe.

Mike shute the lid and slid it over to Doc, "I'm glad you like it, now go get your man!"

"I will," smiled Doc, "How much is it?"

"Did you not read our slogan?" chuckled the worker, nose wrinkling up as he tried to keep his laughing in.

"Uhm, no," admitted the creeper bashfully, "What does it say"

"'There is no greater treasure then helping true love, show us love we show you 0's'. Basically saying if your doing this for true love then it's free,"

"Isn't that a bad business practice?" questioned Doc.

"It is, but we don't need the money. Now get going! We're closing in a few, and I don't want you stuck in here" said Mike with a wink, "I fear I'd be getting an earful from your partner if that was to happen"

Doc left with a laugh, pleased with how the day had gone. He put away the box securely in his pants pocket, almost running to the Hermitcraft portal.

He couldn't wait till Christmas! This was going to be amazing!

<>It took me forever to come up with a ring! But I like the one I came up with!
