FORREST GUMP SAID, and I quote, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get". However, that just doesn't make sense in some ways. One, I have never seen a box of chocolates that doesn't show its content or at least say what kind of chocolate might be inside. Maybe it was meant to say that life is full of surprises but I have never seen or compared life as a box of chocolates. Two, I definitely know what I'm getting right now.
Headache.
"You're not really helping me, you're just stressing me out." I complained, rolling my eyes at him. I have learned that his name is Seonghwa, or sometimes GRAY, a Computer Science major and that I'm never going to trust him ever again. "I was right the whole time!"
"Shh, woman." He calmly spoke as he strolled along the hallway. Yes, he was strolling as if he didn't just get me involved in a staircase adventure. He dragged my luggage along with him while I took a hold of the small ones.
See, I knew where my dorm was located but this idiot was being all smartass, saying that it was located at the fifth floor of the building. We could've used the elevator but it was out of order and I didn't want to die on my first arrival in college. And so, we used the stairs to go all the way up to the fifth floor only to find out that it was under construction. I told him that maybe my dorm was right where I thought it would be, which was the second floor, but no! He just told me "I know my way around here. I'm a senior". We ascended up until the final floor, the 10th floor, and we still haven't found it.
Oh, I would've found it by myself but he just wouldn't want to listen to me. My feet are hurting and I'm running out of breath. I was nowhere near athletic at all. I don't go to the gym nor do exercises at home. My body wasn't prepared for all the shit he has brought me into.
We were on our way to the second floor and I was too tired to the point that I wished the stairs could transform into escalator. If not, a diagonal platform and I'd roll my way down just like the pandas in Kung Fu Panda 3.
After a few minutes of more arguing and bickering, we were finally standing in front of room C-50. "I was correct the whole time." I said through gritted teeth, my eyes focused on the C-50 that was written on door.
"You said it was C-125! It was definitely located on the fifth floor." He argued, crouching down and placing his hands on his knees as he too was out of breath.
"The fifth floor was under construction, if it was there, we would've found this godforsaken room in i don't know, ten fucking minutes!" I was still tired and my voice cracked at the end of my sentence but I couldn't really care less. At this moment, I just wanted to beat him down into pulp even if he was that hot.
"Then you could've told me." He said in-between heavy breaths. Okay that just makes him hotter but it doesn't change the fact that he just dragged me along to the tenth floor and down to the second floor where we could have gone to first in the first place.
"I was telling you the whole damn ti—"
Suddenly, the door barged open revealing a girl. She had a jet black hair and eyes that would remind you of the night sky. Even though she had her hair fixed into a bun, I could tell that it was very curly. It was the kind of hair that the African Americans would have. In fact, she looked like she had African blood mixed in her genes. I stared in awe as Seonghwa, or GRAY, beside me was still panting his life out.
This guy had the nerves to be tired.
"You're disturbing the others." She said, voice soft and quiet. Her tone didn't come off rudely, it was more of like a reminder that it was 7 o'clock in the morning and people could still be sleeping or the freshmen who have just arrived are resting in their own respective dorm rooms.
