Sunsets (A Kotlc Fanfiction)

She ran. Tears streamed from her eyes as she did. She had been lied to, deceived, used. She was just a puppet to them. They didn't care about her, they only wanted to use her.

She had gone to Mr. Forkle after he called a meeting with her.

"You wanted to see me?"She asked walking into his office at Foxfire.

"Yes miss Foster, have a seat." He said and gestured to the chair in front of the desk.

She sat down and clasped her hands in her lap.

"Listen this isn't going to be an easy topic so I'm just going to say it." He signed and looked down at the wooden surface of the desk.

She gulped.

"We have discovered a member of the neverseen. They stand at a very high position in our world. But we need to... dispose of them a bit more differently."
He said the last part in barley a whisper.

"What do you mean?" She asked cautiously.

"Sophie, you have a stronger mind than any other elf. You can handle violence and guilt more than even me. And we need you to kill them." He said solemnly.

She froze. She couldn't kill someone!? Who did he think he was asking her to do something like that!?

"What!? No!" She yelled with shock.

He looked at her with a pleading look in his eyes.
"Please Sop-"

She cut him off.
"How could you ask me something like that!? If that's your only plan your sick. The whole organization is! And if that's the case then I don't want to be a part of it."

She said as she ripped her pendant off and slammed it on his desk. She turned on her heel and stormed out of the room. She could hear him calling her to come back but she ignored him. She couldn't stand seeing his face ever again.

She ran to the artirium to find her friends. She turned the corner and froze. Standing in the middle of the room we're Fitz and Linh. And they were kissing.

She stood there frozen. Everyone in the room was shocked and her friends looked horrified. Fitz and linh broke apart. They both stared into each others eyes for a moment before he saw Sophie out of the corner oh his eye. The whole room was absolutely shocked as to what just happened. She stood there completely still, her face with no expression except a single tear rolling down her cheek.

"Sophie!" Fitz gasped as her turned to face her.

Behind him Linh had a victorious smirk on her face that just made Sophie sick.

"I can explain!"He took a step forward.

But she held out her hand to stop him.

"I get it ok? I'm just some freak who would never be good enough for you anyway right?!" She screamed the last part before turning on her heel and running.

Sophie ran up to the leap master and screamed for Havenfeild. None of the crystals moved, fuelling her frustration even more. She fumbled for her home crystal on her wrist but stoped when she heard a cracking noise above her. She slowly turned her head upwards to look at the giant chandelier of crystals above her. The cracking continued as a big crack appeared on the bolt attaching it to the ceiling.
The next few moments happened in slow motion. Within a second the chandelier detached from the ceiling and came falling towards her in a flurry of broken crystals. Moments before it would have been too late she felt a strong forced hit her in the side as a pair of arms wrapped around her. She and her saviour flew through the air and crashed onto the floor beside the chandelier just as it hit the ground and exploded. When the ringing in her ears faded she sat up beside her saviour who had a hand on their forehead. When their eyes met she nearly screamed. For a moment she could have mistaken him for Fitz but instead of his infamous teal eyes, these ones were sky blue. Alvar stared back at her with almost a mutual  shocked expression. All too soon shouts were heard coming up the stairs. Alvar quickly pulled a yellow crystals out of his black cloak and raised it to the light, then he was gone.

So I decided to actually put some effort into this Fanfiction, I decided to go and to some edits to this chapter. I'm currently working on the new chapter and I hope to get it up soon ☺️
