"I don't want to merge." Beth told her sister one day as they were watching tv at 3am. The 14 year old girls looked at each other before Hayley sighed, "we won't." Beth rested her head on her sisters shoulder and Hayley ran her fingers through it in an effort to soothe them both. "You don't know that," Beth smiles sadly even though Hayley couldn't see it she could tell. "Sure I do, I don't want kids that much, so worse comes to worse, I die."  Beth flinched at how carefree her sister said it, as if nothing fazed her. "Hayley, you can't just die, you'd be a vampire, alive forever, you- you don't want that!" Beth said loudly, causing her twin sister to grin, "I don't want to, but neither do yo. u, so I would do it without hesitation."

Hayley woke up with the memory fresh on her mind, today she would be going with Alaric, Hope, and Josie to Maine to visit Riley, she missed Riley, she did, but the young with had to come back to her time when they noticed increase shifts in the timeline, so Riley left her kid and only went back to 2057 for a week every month. She watched as her moms and grandfather packed their bags for the weekend in the jeep. She only had two pairs of clothes, but she didn't bring it up, she didn't need anything from them, at least not enough to admit it.

In the car, Alaric and Josie drove as Hope and Hayley sat in the back. They were quite literally identical, sure Hayley's hair was redder, but that was like the only thing that set them apart. Hayley looked at her phone, she wanted a text or something to come through, even though that was impossible because she had no service and text couldn't travel through time. "What do you have in your hand?" Hope asked the young girl, looking at the device in her hand. It looked like a phone but larger. "Oh, uh it's my phone, it doesn't work here, but I can't use it here, it doesn't work," Hayley gave her a brief grin before looking back at the device. Hope looked over her shoulder and saw the lock screen, an image of Hayley with a girl who looked the exact same, but with different eyes, bluer eyes, they were about 13 in the picture, they were with a tall boy who looked to be about 16, and she could tell he was their older brother, he looked exactly like Josie, and then there was a kid, maybe 5 or 6 on Hayley's lap, he had brown hair like his brothers and had hazel eyes that looked just like Hope's mom's. Hope hated that she did, but part of her got excited for her future, maybe it sucked at time, but she was gonna have 4 kids, and she was beyond excited.
