I followed the staff inside the studio and was led towards Direk Kim.
"You must be N'Tae." He greeted me with a cheeky smile.
"Khrap Direk Kim." I wai'd at him to show my respect. "Nice to meet you."
"C'mon, let's seat down for a sec so I can brief you on the screen test." He led me to a long table and both of us took a seat. He sat beside someone who was already seated there.
"Here with me is one of our Executive Producers, Mr. Copter Panuwat." He introduced P'Copter. I wai'd and phi smiled. "Together with me and another one, we'll decide on the casting for our lead character. Unfortunately, the other producer couldn't make it today so we'll make do with us today and we'll just send him your VTR, photos, and your answers to our questions. 'Kay?"
"No problem direk." I replied respectfully.
"Alright, let's begin. So tell us about yourself Tae, tell us things that are not written in the form you filled up earlier."
Woah! Okay... What can I say?
"Err... I'm Darvid Kreepolrerk but my friends and family call me Tae. I lived independently ever since I moved out from our home at the age of 18. I started working as a model when I was scouted in college. It has been my dream to become an actor. I considered the modelling job as a stepping stone for it. With it, I was able to land a few acting gigs. I also take acting workshops in between my part time work."
I observe the executives as I spoke. They seem really eager in listening. I've never experieced this before. Usually, they proceed immediately with the tasks at hand. But here...
"What is you part time work now, N'Tae?" P'Copter ask.
"I perform in some bars in the metro. I play the guitar and sing. Sometimes I jam with some known bands in the metro." I answered.
"Cool! I think we can use that fact to our advantage Kim." P'Copter turned to Direk Kim.
"Uhm-hmmm" direk replied wordlessly. "Okay nong. For now, we'll do the screentest first. The role you're auditioning for is Forth. He's your typical Alpha male in your typical Engineering School. So we'll have you wear an engineering uniform with a white shirt and take some photos. And since this is BL, we'll also take some of you shirtless. You okay with that?"
"Khrap direk." Of course, who am I to not agree?
The staff handed me the costume and I immediately wore it. I thank my experience in modelling that I have grown accustomed to changing even in front of other people. We do it all the time in the dressing room.
The uniform was a perfect fit for me. Even the shirt. It fits me comfortably and it hugs my body in a way that it makes me sexier to look at.
"Ready nong?" I heard direk from behind while I was lost in thought looking at myself in the mirroe.
"Yes direk." I trooped in front of the camera.
"Again, Forth is the typical Alpha Male of the typical Engineering Faculty. He's like brute personified. But a handsome brute that is. Haha! So try to channel those for this shoot nong." Direk instructed.
Good thing, I have friends from Engineering when I was in college. Direk was right, they are brutes down to the core. But they're easy to reason with and frankly, a bunch of nice assholes called my friends. Haha! So, with them in mind, I projected in front of the camera.
