Tee POV

I just sat in the cab at the airport when I received a message from Copter.

"We just wrapped up the auditions. I think we have two strong candidates for you. If they fell short of your taste, we'll give you other options. Get home, have a nice rest. We'll see you tomorrow to discuss. Don't forget our souvenirs! Lots of love! 😘"

"He didn't even welcome me home." I muttered out loud. I gave out a sigh while looking at the bright lights of the metro.

Copter is my bestfriend. We practically grew up together though we live in the farthest neighborhood from each other. How is that possible? Because we were both child actors of course!

Since we are of the same age, we were usually casted as best friends anyway and it simply translated on screen to real life. But after spending our teenage years as students and actors at the same time, he called it quits and decided to pursue film full time in college.

Well among all the child actors that I had the pleasure of working with, Cop showed genuine curiosity about the workings behind the scenes. So it's really no surprise for me when he announced that he was retiring as an actor to pursue a career behind the camera. He seemed really eager to learn more about it.

I was lost in thought when I received another message. This time it was from P'Kim, our former senior child actor and now a well-known BL flick director.

"Rest. And don't disturb us. I'm going to take Cop for some quality time. 🤤 Hehehehe! Oh btw, we are sure going to knock your socks off with our shortlist. Get ready for that!"

Wow! It seemed the auditions earlier was a big success! Too bad I missed it! Ugh! If not for my mother's insistence that I delay my flight for a day, I wouldn't have been delayed a day more. It's not like I'm not coming back to the US anymore. She's such a drama queen! But I love her, still.

I gave out a loud sigh while the cab approched the high rise where my penthouse is located. Anyway, no use crying over spilled milk. I'm sure it will be an interesting and lively conversation tomorrow so I must be prepared.

"Good evening!" The hotel chauffer greeted while opening the door for me.

"Hi Seb!" I greeted back.

"Oh! Khun Beam! Welcome back!" Seb, in his usual cheery demeanor exclaimed upon recognizing me.

I said thank you to the cab driver, gave out some bills and asked to open the compartment. "A little assistance Seb please with my baggage at the back."

"No problem Khun Beam!" Seb called more chauffers to assist in unloading my baggage from the cab. "You should've just informed us of your arrival Khun. We could've fetched you at the airport."

"My flight got delayed due to the storm in the US. So I didn't want to bother anyone here to scramble for me at the last minute." I smiled sincerely to the kind helper.

"Ow! You know it will never be a bother Khun. You own this place!" Seb retorted while carrying some of my bags. That's what I like about Seb, he speaks his mind even though he knows I'm part of the owner's family.

"Wrong! My parents own this place. I'm just here as a free loader! Haha!" I answered jokingly.

"You're just twisting things Khun. But you know that all the staff looks up to you here. You're royalty here." Both Seb and I entered the spacious elevator together with the hotel trolley carrying my stuff. He scanned his universal keycard and pressed "PH" on the button selection.

"And so I was told. Haha!" I just laughed his banters off.

"So how long are you going to stay Khun?" Seb asked to keep the conversation going.
