Frustrated, I got out of the chair and tried to catch up with Amanda. But the problem was, she was already out of sight.

I ran out to the parking lot. Nothing. I tried to call her. Still nothing.

I can't believe she freaked out like that. I looked at the time. If I hurried I could make it to the studio to record the song, I'm just going to have to clear things up with Amanda later. This way I will get both a single, and my best friend.

When I got to the studio, I went straight to Zanders office (did I mention I was running?). Anyways, I got there panting and knocked on the door.

I heard some mumbling and the sound of walking. A moment later the door opened up, reveling Zander and a random guy on the couch.

"Sophie your here just in time." said Zander

He must have noticed I was staring at the dude awkwardly sitting on the couch because he then said, "Sophie, this is Evan, the songwriter who wrote an amazing song."

"Oh. Cool. Hi Evan" I said waving.

He waved back, smiling.

"If you didn't get here soon he was going to offer it to someone else. Good thing you got here" said Zander.

"Yeah. Lucky me."

"What's wrong?"

"I-I think I lost my friend."

"Don't worry she will come back. Your a famous superstar!"

"She's not into that Zander."

He got the point and shut up.

Zander took out his keys and unlocked the door that goes into the studio. He motioned me to go in and I did. I took a seat and put on the headphones.

Zander and Evan sat out by the sound thingy. ( I don't know the name of all this stuff yet).

I looked at the lyrics and took a deep breath. Zander started the music and I began to sing. The song was about friendship. It was a great song and all, but it didn't fit me because right now I don't even have a friend. Hopefully that will change.

It took me 2 hours to complete the song. I thanked Evan for the song and ran straight out of there. I got to my house and told Selena my situation. She listened to every word I had to say.

'Well Sophie. I honestly think Amanda just thinks you don't need her anymore."

"What? That's crazy!"

"Not really sis."

"How could that be?"

"Do I really need to explain?"

"No" I sighed.

I went to my bedroom and tried to call her. To my surprise she answered.

"It's about time you tried to call."

"Amanda!"

"Geesh don't yell. Now what do you want?"

"You think I don't need you anymore is that right?''

"Um no. Not at all are you crazy?" She sounded unsure.

"Amanda you can tell me the truth."

"Whatever."

I took a deep breath.

"You want to know what the song was about that I sang?"

"What the h*ll Sophie why would I want to hea-"

"Friendship"

"What?"

"The song. It was about friendship."

"So?"

"So, while I was singing it I realized we can't be broken apart."

"Mmhmm"

"Seriously Amanda."

She didn't believe me. She seriously thought I was kidding.

"Amanda. Listen. Sure, I may be famous."

"Well known!"

"Right. But still. I love you. You're my best friend. No wait you're like my sister."

I swear I could feel her smiling through the phone.

"Meet me at the pizza shop in 20 minutes." She said.

"Deal."

We hung up and I screamed. I danced around and Selena came running in.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing" I replied.
