(adj.) despondency, low spirits;
a state of depression

I don't drink, I remind myself as I take a rather large gulp of vodka. It burns like hell, but like they always say, I drink it anyway. Evan texted, when I woke up, me saying he had to go on an emergency business trip and that he was terribly sorry. "Liar, lair, pants on fire." My words slur together but I still find my drunken joke funny. The only continuous, and by continuous I mean continuous, thought now is, was I just not good enough for him?
Having a sudden idea, I snatch my phone off my couch and start typing.
Girls night, my place, right now
Hurry up losers, party's already started
My friends' replies show their excitement with a wide range of emojis.
When they finally do show up, I had already made my way through a bottle of Evan's expensive ass wine, but, as always, back to vodka. They stood agape in my doorway, surprised at my state.
"Hera, what happened?" Shara asks me with concern.
I jump up, or as much as you can when your drunk, and step onto my coffee table that his parents gave me. "Evan's cheating on me!" I raise my vodka into superhuman form as my girls mutter insults against Evan.
Emma snatches my vodka before taking a gulp and setting it down. "Come on," she says sassily as she yanks me down and pulls me to the couch. "Help me push." She demands as I watch her push the couch back, snapping to reality, I help as much as I can. Shara, Vic, and Lily jump in as soon as the understand what Emma's idea is. Shara and Vic take care of the other furniture while Lily turns on the tv to YouTube, searching up something. Once we were all huffing and puffing, well mainly me, my speakers start blasting.

I just took a DNA test, turns out I'm 100% that bitch
Even when I'm crying crazy
Yeah, I got boy problems, that's the human in me
Bling bling, then I solve 'em, that's the goddess in me
You coulda had a bad bitch, non-committal
Help you with your career just a little
You're 'posed to hold me down, but you're holding me back
And that's the sound of me not calling you back
I'ma hit you back in a minute
I don't play tag, bitch, I been it
We don't fuck with lies, we don't do goodbyes
We just keep it pushing like aye yi yi
I'ma hit you back in a minute
I don't play tag, bitch, I been it
We don't fuck with lies, we don't do goodbyes
We just keep it pushing like aye yi yi

If he don't love you anymore
Just walk your fine ass out the door

Woo girl, need to kick off your shoes
Got to take a deep breath, time to focus on you
All the big fights, long nights that you been through
I got a bottle of Tequila I been saving for you
Boss up and change your life
You can have it all, no sacrifice
I know he did you wrong, we can make it right
So go and let it all hang out tonight
'Cause he don't love you anymore
So walk your fine ass out the door

I dug my key into the side
Of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seats
I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights
I slashed a hole in all four tires
Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats

My body reacts before my mind does, my hips swaying, my lips singing, my feet shuffling, my hands waving.
It's the epitome of a girls night, with drinks, gossip, laughing until you can't breathe, dancing and singing, more dancing, and more dancing. And maybe a few plans discussed on how to get revenge, telling his parents (although that wouldn't do much) to egging his parents house, to keying his car.

You'll be back like before
I will fight the fight and win the war
For your love, for your praise
And I'll love you till my dying days
When you're gone, I'll go mad
So don't throw away this thing we had
Cuz when push comes to shove
I will kill your friends and family to remind you of my love
