I walked into home surprised to find my mom cooking. It was one of those rare and precious occasions in my life when I see my mom cooking things for me. She looked at me and smiled. I can see how age had affected her beautiful features but somehow she looks more radiant more beautiful.

"You are home Lexa dear. I got early leave from my shift today." She said. "are you hungry I am making beans" She said softly. "I will go get changed and then I will come down" I said. She nodded.

I took a warm shower and wrapped myself around the towel. I looked at my reflection those eyes are too big for my face. And they are dull like me. There is not a thing about me that is beautiful. How can they say I am beautiful?

I changed into my pjs and walked downstairs. My mother was sitting with few people on the table one of which was Daniel Xavier Hudson. And I think I saw Isabella Hudson too. "It will be alright she will be alright" He said to my mother.

I decided to walk back to the door and just then the doorbell rang. "Lexa please get the door Honey" my mother said and I shied in defeat. Mother I don't want to be in their presence more than necessary. I walked to the door and there he was My worse nightmare the He devil. Minus the horns.

"For you Alexi" He said giving me a dozens of flowers. I wanted to throw him out of my house and my life at the same time. "I am sensing a lots of anger towards me." He said observing me. Because I am angry on you and I am angry on the world. I am angry on myself too.

"I am fine do come inside" I said. He walked inside after me. I put the flowers in water. He and my mother made a small talk most of which I choose to ignore. "So Alex what are you planning to do after school?" My mother asked. "Nothing much Macy I will travel to some campuses and I guess get my degree in Architecture." He said casually. Who knew he devil is interested in building things?

"What about you Alexa have any plans for future?" Daniel asked. "Yes actually I would be applying as an apprentice in Paris's cooking school. I wanted to be a pastry chef." I told him. "I can say you will do great dear. I loved your orange cake dessert." He said smiling. "I will make some for you next time" I told him. "Do that I loved it." Isabella said proudly.

Rest of the evening we made small talk and ate dinner. Mom was happy and it was an equally rare side to see. "So I wanted to ask something Macy" Alexander spoke. "Ask away child" My mother said. "I wanted to date Alexi" Everyone gasped but I remained unfazed. "Well I don't want to date you Alexander" I said standing up and walking out of the door.

The cool air hit my face and I tried to preserve some warmth. Damn you Alexander you have to ruin my perfectly good mood by opening your mouth. "Why do you not want to date my son?" Daniel asked me. Because he is the He devil and the Jerk with a big J. "I am not interested in dating just right now." I replied politely.

"I can understand your resent towards my Son. But you should give him a chance you might be surprised. I am not saying that you should date him right away just be a friend. He needs a real friend right now" Daniel said walking inside again. I was confused Alexander was all surrounded by friends I am not even qualified to be one.

I walked inside again determined not to give into Alexander's desires. I cannot just give him satisfaction of seeing me broken can I? I hate it. I just want to leave this god forsaken place and live and die in my own time. But I cannot.

My eyes met with Alexander and he smiled at me. I scowled in return. "So did you changed your mind about me Honey?" He asked in his sickly sweet voice. "Don't you have a girlfriend at school Alexander?" His mother gasped at that. "Alex you said you are not dating anyone. "I wasn't not at the time you asked me mom." He glared at me.

"But if you already have a girlfriend you cannot date Alexa here." Isabella said. "Mom that is what I am saying I am going to break up with her. I believe that you should be with the one your heart desires you to be. And my heart desires to be with Alexi" Alexander said in his oh so convincing voice.

"Prove it and break up with Katharine then come to me and I will see from there Mr. Hudson. Till then I will put your proposal on hold." I said and walked into my room slamming the door on my way in and locked it. I pulled out my ipod and put on my earphones falling asleep with the voice of Shawn Mendes.
