A garden of roses

"So all you guys were my friends?" I asked still curious of who they were.
"Yes well, us, me and you were much closer than just friends" he answered with a hint of sadness
Wow. Did he mean to say that we were together before I ran? Was this all real or was it all a dream? It seemed too exciting, almost like a story from a book.
"Do you mean-" I started off but he finished my sentence
"We were together" he responded holding my hand. I felt a strange comfort when I was with him, like nothing could hurt me.
"How long for?" I was eager to know more
"Oh I don't even remember. It's been a long time."He responded with uncertainty
A long time? How long exactly? How many memories had i forgotten
"Were we happy?"
"Oh yes. We were so happy, and in love." that sentence filled me with joy and I could feel my face getting hotter, he pulled me in for another hug and i felt at home. I never wanted to leave again, for the rest of my life I vowed to stay here, stay here and protect them. "I'll never leave you again" I told him quietly, "good" he whispered back and kissed my forehead. We pulled away as Leanne came running over "guys you're cute and all, but it's time for dinner!" She shouted to us. I blushed after realising she saw us "Thank god for that. I'm starving" I say as my stomach growls at the mention of food. He chuckles at my words. "lets go then"
As we got to a cabin just further than campfire I saw earlier, Bailey burst out of the door prepared to shout at us to get inside when she realised we were at the door, "oh- hurry up and get inside already! The foods getting cold" she held the door open for us as I got a waft for the delicious food inside. There were foods of all kinds, it was laid out like a feast. "Oh wow this looks incredible!" I exclaimed in admiration. "Gotta have enough food to feed us all" chuckled lily, "how do you get this much food?" I asked still amazed, everyone stopped dead and stared at me. "Wait. You mean to say you forgot?" Asked Robyn in a panicked tone. "Well they did remove all her memories of us so it makes sense" explained lily. "I just thought she'd have remembered some things by now" said Robyn in a sad tone. "Wait what else did i forget?" I asked suddenly aware that there was a lot more they were leaving out. "Well um, don't freak out" warned kade "but um, we kind of.. have powers" everything suddenly made sense. How they got so much food, how they survived out here in the middle of no where, how the 'evil ones' took my memories. Magic. Powers. That's how. "Oh wow" I breathed out "and we all have different ones" he added on "so what are all your powers?" I asked everyone.
"Mine is light. I can create it, change its brightness and take it away" started Bailey.
"Mine is air, I can create it and change its force" Leanne said next.
"Mine is water. I can create it, make it rain, and control what it does" said kade after her.
"Mine is portals. I can create portals to anywhere I want" said Robyn next.
"And mine is nature, I can create plants and certain animals" said lily last of all.
They were all amazing powers and I admired them all. But I was still curious if I had one.
"Oh wow, they're all great powers, but I have to ask, do I have one?"
"Oh yes you do" stated kade which sparked joy inside me "see if you can figure it out" he teased playfully. "Well how the hell do I do that?" Getting slightly mad and feeling my hands heat up, which was weird "you'll figure it out" he teased further looking down at my hands. That's when I lost it. "I have lost all my memories, I have just become friends with all of you again trusting the things that you've told me, and now I can't know what my power is? Bullshit" I said now mad at them. Suddenly I felt my hands heat up more I lifted them up and flames had sprung from them. "What the fuck?!?" I panicked and was shocked it didn't burn. "And there you go. When you get mad you burst into flames- well you don't burn, but you have the power of fire" he grinned as I realised his plan was to make me mad the whole time. "It doesn't burn?" I said, calmer this time. "No, which is weird, but we're all immune to our powers. We aren't affected because we created them" he told me "so how the fuck do I make it stop?" I panicked again "you need to tap into the part of your mind which controls your power. Close your eyes and search for it. Only you have the willpower to stop it" Lily explained to me. So I closed my eyes and was hit with an image of two buttons. Two buttons that controlled my power. One said "stronger" and one said "off" I imagined myself pressing the 'off' button and my hands were cool again. "Wow, ok. That's slightly problematic. Have I ever done damage with that?" I asked thinking of everything that could go wrong if anyone ticked me off. "Funny question, no, not anything serious, because since we figured out your power, we tried to keep you calm. Which usually worked, because you were determined to keep it under control in order not to hurt anyone" Robyn told me which relieved me. "But when we've faced our enemies before, you let it all out and absolutely obliterated them" Leanne added on which made my blood run cold. "I- I killed people?" I asked now afraid of what I could do. "Yes but don't worry. Those people had been bothering us for centuries. But you finally got them. We all loved you for that" Bailey told me with a wide grin on her face. Wait. Centuries? How long had we lived for? Were we immortal? Wow. This day has just gotten crazier.
But there was still one thing on my mind, "but that still doesn't answer my original question, how did you get all this wonderful food?"
"Oh that's my doing, I some of it from plants, while you and Bella go hunting for animals" answers lily with a hint of pride.
"Wait, who's Bella? Is she another one of us?" I asked noticing I hadn't been introduced to anyone with that name.
"Yes she is, and speaking of her, shouldn't she have been back by now?" Leanne turned to ask the group, "she just went out for supplies, she'll be back soon. And there's no need to panic, her power will keep her safe." answered Robyn in a reassuring tone.
"What's her power?" I asked curiously, "levitation" responded kade
"Oh and there was one more thing I'm curious about. I noticed you're all wearing colours that seem significant. Is that coincidence or is there a meaning to it?" I asked now understanding there was more to this group than meets the eye. "Oh so you noticed that, no it's definitely not coincidental. It has a strong meaning to our history and who we are." Bailey answered for me. "So tell me. What do they mean?"
