"Psssst."
"Sirius," Alanna groaned. "I'm sleeping."
"Well," said Sirius, making a disgusted face, "I think sleep is for the weak."
"Well then I'll be glad to be a weakling."
Sirius pokes Alanna.
"Can you make cookies?"
"Sirius Black, you wake me up at six in the morning and ask if I can make you cookies. What if, perhaps, I'm on my period?"
"You're not, are you?"
"No, but I'm not making you cookies."
"Fine, then." Sirius puffed out his bottom lip.
"Not changing anything."
Alanna rolled back onto her side and closed her eyes.
"How about now?" Sirius asked.
"No."
"Now?"
Alanna pushed Sirius off of the bed.
"Go away."
"No."
Alanna glared at Sirius from behind her eyelids.
"How about - ?"
"SIRIUS I AM NOT GOING TO MAKE YOU COOKIES AT SIX IN THE MORNING!"
Sirius puffed out his bottom lip again.
"JAMES!" Alanna yelled, "GET THIS MONSTER OUT OF MY ROOM!"
James walked in, looking confused.
"Where does this mo-mo-monster happen to be?" James asked with a yawn.
"It's hard not to see him," Alanna scowled.
"Sirius, let her sleep."
Sirius glared at James and Alanna. "Not until I get promised cookies."
"I'll make you some when I get up," Alanna said, her voice muffled by her pillow.
"Good!" Sirius skipped out of the room.
"You can go now, just put a charm on my door so that Alohamora won't work."
James nodded and left, placing the charm that Alanna wanted on her door on her door.
***
Alanna was already up in the kitchen, making the cookies that Sirius wanted. She was going to play a prank on him though, a fun prank.
She was going to make the dough and put raisins in it, covering any sign of raisins up with more cookie dough. She was then going to bake them and serve them to Sirius as chocolate filled cookies.
Right when Alanna had covered up the raisins (she had thrown the box away after she poured them in the dough), Sirius just happened to come in.
"Hi, Annoying," Alanna said, glaring at Sirius.
"Hey!" yelled Sirius. "What did I do?"
"You woke me up at six in the morning."
Alanna put the cookies in the oven.
"What kind of cookies are they?" Sirius asked.
"The kind you eat," Alanna said, looking at Sirius.
"What flavor?"
"Cookie flavor?"
"What kind of cookie? Like, chocolate chip, rasin, oatmil. . ."
"Dang, I cat be sarcastic with that one. Chocolate-filled cookies."
She turned back to the oven.
"They're taking too long." She tried to cast a fire spell, but a flock of golden ducks came out.
"What. . . ?" Alanna and Sirius both said at the same time.
Sirius tried the charm. Once again, another flock of golden ducks came out.
Alanna's brows showed the concentration she was putting in to find out who had done this.
After looking at every detail of the ducks, she noticed a gold ring around their beaks with a single letter, "J."
"JAMES!" Alanna yelled.
James came into the kitchen. "Smells like. Cookies."
"Quack."
"Shut up, Sir Duckling. What did you do to my wand? Accio spoon!"
A flock of bright green ducks that seemed to sparkle came out.
"Lily," James whispered, looking at the ducks. "Lily."
They were indeed the exact color of Lily's eyes. So bright green and sparkly.
James started crying.
"James, it's okay," Alanna said repeatedly until the oven beeped.
She had made one actual chocolate-filled cookie.
She grabbed the cookie and gave it to James.
"Still warm."
James took the cookie and took a bite out of it.
"Mmm, c-chocolate," he said.
"Good isn't it?" Alanna asked.
James nodded.
Alanna looked over, Sirius was trying to decide which cookie to eat.
"The rest are raisin," Alanna whispered so that James, and James only, could hear.
"Okay."
Sirius finally chose a cookie. It was the biggest, fattest one. The one with the most raisins. Alanna smiled as Sirius took a gigantic bite out of it.
"EWWWW!" Sirius screamed.
Alanna busted out laughing, and so did James.
Remus walked in at the sound of Sirius's scream. "Ahh, yes, the ducks. I thought you'd have enough sense to suspect me, but oh, well. Ooh, raisin cookies."
Alanna looked from the ducks to Remus to James.
"They - the ducks - had a "J" on their neck. . . Oh, wow, James may be an idiot, but he's not that much of an idiot. I guess I was too focused on trying to prank Sirius over here."
Alanna picked up a cookie and handed it to Remus, then picked up one for herself.
"These are good. I have no idea why Sirius-Baby over there hates them."
"Sirius-Baby? Is that your new nickname for him?" James asked.
"No!" Alanna said. "I was calling him a baby because he doesn't like raisin cookies."
"Mhmm?"
Alanna rolled her eyes.
PAAAAAADFOOT HEREEEEE
Okay, so I'm not going to be a bum (HAHAHA PUN! No one got that....) and take full credit for this, I have to give some to Moony.
She kinda gave me the duck idea and Remus doing the charm on their wands for the ducks.
So yeah.
I got the cookie inspiration from my mom making cookies, thanks, mom!
