Chapter 12: Inside The Zoo Mission

                                                                 (Kimiko Pov)

     The others wandered around the empty lot of the zoo the eerie night sky looming down on us, squeezing the metal case tight in my hand, I looked around for that strange male from earlier if I was going to solve this puzzling night I needed all the pieces and he's the main one. Listening closely to the other students for any signs of him, or how we were planning on getting back home.

Yoshiko: Sora! Come on! We can go home now!! Let's go!!

Next to me Sora was just as lost and in her own world as the rest of us, looking from the pitch black sky to Yoshiko who was trying to grab her attention by shaking her shoulders, pointing towards the groups of students led by the teachers.

Male teacher with glasses: This way! Let's go home.

As I was about to follow them a shiver went down my back, and the survival instincts built into me since I was a child kicked in, stopping in my tracks I looked around until I met a pair of (e/c) eyes. Standing by the closed metal gate was that stranger quickly looking down at some device, nodding to himself as he looked at us with a grin. Both our eyes locking meeting his glare head on I was about to turn away until he pointed at his temples with his fingers and then towards the large group now several feet ahead of me. Pointing with his thumb towards the entrance that led inside the Zoo, and like that he walked away. Trying to decide if I should go after him or not, stopping when I saw a few others of the girls from my class who seemed to notice his antics.

Sora/Morishita/Meiko: .............................

Morishita: what's up with that guy? He's making this even creepier...it's already bad enough we're at some zoo in the middle of who knows where.

Kimiko: ....he knows what's going on

Whispering more to myself rather than the others, slowly walking behind the other students keeping pace away from the large group, and the other females that fell behind thanks to him.

Sora: If he knows what's going on perhaps we should try to catch up with him? Just walking around won't solve anything.

Kimiko: (tch, for once I was thinking the same thing as her.)

Looking back once more towards the metal gates his figure was getting small, until it was no longer able to easily spot now that he was deep in the zoo.

Female student with freckles: What! we can leave?

Male student with tie: Awesome we can really go!

The large group reached a large fountain looking around the area trying to figure out which way to go next, the lights from the lamps hardly providing us any signs that could lead us towards  the city or a phone.

Female student: what about the school trip?

The others continued with their chatter some discussing what seemed like the now canceled trip, some trying to figure out what zoo we were currently at, and the teachers on how to proceed.

Female tour guide: Let's find a public phone first...I have to call my company.

Male teacher: Right. I should contact the school, too....

Bus driver: Does anybody have coins?

Digging around in my skirt pockets I pulled out my cellphone staring at the lack of bars that represented right now there was no cell service in this area.

Female tour guide: But what should we say....? We were on the bus, and now we're suddenly at the zoo...

Male teacher: Honestly I can only think of this as a supernatural occurrence
