Maniac - Lana Winters x Fem Reader (Oneshot)

Maniac

You abruptly wake up as Sister Jude unlocks cells and yells out, "Out of cells everyone!!" 

You hear everyone groan and some crying. You roll out of bed and rake your hands through your ratty hair. They never give us anything to take care of ourselves. You walk out of the room and stand at cells. Today is cell check day. 

"Cell check today. Better not find anything in them." Sister Jude then orders the guards to search through everyone's cells. Shelly walks out of her cell with sass. We all know what's coming. 

"Hey Jude I have a cucumber in here but it's not for eating.." Shelly smirks and stares at Sister Jude. Everyone sighs. Shelly is always talking about sex. Sex this sex that. 

"Pipe it, Shelly." Sister Jude snaps and continues with cell searches. After that, you all are let into the recreation room. 

You sit in the corner in a chair watching all the mentals run around screaming, throwing things, and crying. How the fuck did I end up here?  Well, you know why. At age 16 your mom noticed you were talking to yourself, like always. She was super religious so she thought you were possessed by demons or some stupid shit like that. So she put you in the care of Sister Jude. But it turns out you just have schizophrenia.  As you are sitting there you see a girl out of the corner of your eyes. She looks more well kept than anyone here. She catches everyone's attention. Sister Jude was leading her around talking as always. The strange girl was taking notes. Probably just a reporter. Then she leaves, good things never stay...

[ A few days later]

Another sudden wake as sister Jude wakes you all with the shout of her shrill voice. This time as you step out of your cell you see a new girl. It's her. Its the reporter girl!! Why the hell is she in here???? Everyone is looking at her, this time in confusion and curiosity. Sister Jude lets you all into the recreation room. The girl is sitting at a chair crying. With an impulse of confidence, you walk over to where she is and sit down. You smooth out your gown as she looks up drying her tears.

"Who are y-you?" She says her voice hiccuping. She looks so vulnerable and tiny. Unlike the other day. The bland grey gown looks weird and unnatural on her. But she was pretty. 

"I'm uh Y/N...." You look at her tucking some hair behind your ear. You feel a blush coming but you try and push it back. The strange girl was the only non-mental one in this place. I guess good things do stay. 

She sighs, "This place is scary.." she shudders and leans back in the seat and lays her head back, closing her eyes. "I'm Lana by the way, Lana Winters."

"Yeah, it is scary at first," you pull out a pack of cigarettes and light one offering one to her. She takes it and lights it. "especially for someone whos not supposed to be in here."  You take a puff of the cigarette and blow the wispy smoke out into the stale air. 

She looks over at you as she blows out. "Yeah snuck in here after hours. That blonde old lady is one son of a bitch isn't she?" She smiles a bit.

You laugh "Yeah yeah she is. Gotta be careful saying that stuff here though. She'll whip you." You and Lana keep talking about her articles and the shit show of this manor. Then you have to go back to cells. 

[A few weeks later at the movie]

You, Lana, Kit, and Grace were going to sneak out during the movie. Like, sneak out of the Manor. Which was a terrible idea in your opinion. You hated this place but it has been your home for over 10 years. You were scared to leave it. They insisted on doing it though. Lana motioned to you all it was time to get up and go. She walks up to the movie director.

"Uh sir may I use the bathroom...?" she asks hesitantly to him. She looks over at you guys motioning to run past him. You all jog into the hallway now waiting for her. 

"Ugh whats with you all and using the restroom??" he scoffs "No way you're going." he turns back to the movie.

"But uh s-sir I started my period...." Lana gets red in the face, she was so embarrassed. But it would get them out.

"Ew yeah go on." He rolls his eyes and turns pointing into the hallway. Lana runs out to meet you all. 

"Done. Let's go, I know a secret passage." But before you guys start to go down the hallway you hear a faint "hey!" behind you. It was Shelly. 

"What the fuck are you doing Shelly??" Kit says angrily and almost a little too loud. 

"I'm coming along. I wanna get out of here too." She yawns "Also there's one janitor that stays in these halls this late." She starts walking leaving you all the run after her. You turn a corner and there like she said, is a janitor. He widens his eyes then starts to call for someone. But then Shelly covers his mouth. "No no. Lets not. If you stay quiet and let them out I will do stuff for you." she looks at him winking. He looked angry but let us go by. "You guys go on, I will be fine." 

You all walk on and then find the door. All of you sprint down the dark passage until you reach outside. You all fall to the ground laughing.

"Holy shit we did it!!!!" Grace yells and laughs the rain immediately soaking your gowns. Grace hugs Kit laughing and crying happy tears. 

"Oh my fucking god. I never thought I would be out here." You say as you stand up looking around at your surroundings. Lana then stands up and turns to you. "Thank you so much Lana...you helped me get out." You laugh and hug her. When you pull away from the hug she grabs your face and kisses you. Both of your mouths taste of smoke and medicine but you could care less at that moment. 

You all walk around a bit trying to find the road but instead, you find something way different. way way different. You stumble upon what the doctor was working on. The creatures jump out at you from behind a bush scaring you all. 

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?!?!??!" Kit screams as you all retreat back to the warmth and safety of the manor. Lana grabs your hand and runs back into the building. Sadly you all go back into the manor before the staff could notice you were gone. 

[The next day]

You and Lana are sitting in the hallway of the cells. "I had a lot of fun last night Y/N.." Lana giggles "Sorry if the kiss was too much. Didn't mean to offend you or anything." She looks down rubbing the side of her head where she got hit by a branch running back. 

"No Lana it's okay. I kinda uh liked it..." You put your head on her shoulder making sure no one was looking. This would mean a big punishment in Sister Jude's book. That was another reason Lana was in here, for homosexuality. 

"Really..." Lana looks down at you smiling. After Wendy disappeared she never had hope in stuff like that. Especially after being admitted here. 

You look up and kiss her again, passionate and sweet. "Really."
