In The Plaza, they see The Central, the central building of The Plaza, and take a detour to check out the new renovations from the months before. The old closed floor plan had been changed to a more stylish, open plan with an elegant concourse, bringing fresh light inside the space. It was being remodeled for the past three months, so we would buy necessities in The Courtyard.

After the rebuild, The Central was beautiful and was made of elegant green-tinted glass. It towered over all of the other buildings in the community. It had a lightning rod on top and was about 100 feet tall.

As they go outside, Kai looks up and mutters, "Woah... The architects knew what they were doing."

Fiona agrees, "I know right. Want to go and eat?"

"I don't mind, but I honestly wanna meditate. Jay can decide," He turns his head and sees he is not there. He swerves around and looks into the distance and mutters, "Jay is so slow."

After a few seconds, he arrives and says, "Sorry, I fell."

Kai responds, "I don't care. At least you're here. Do you wanna medita-"

"Don't be mean, Kai," Fiona interrupts, trying to protect Jay from Kai's frowns and harsh and emotionless comments.

"Ok? As I was saying until I was RUDELY interrupted. Do you wanna go meditate or eat," He said glancing at Jay.

Fiona rolls her eyes.

Jay responded, "I kinda want to explore, but don't we have school?"

"Nope. It's a 'Friday Free Day'."

"Nice. Then why can't we just play video games?"

Fiona looks over at The Mess Hall. "You know what just tell me what you wanna eat, and I'll go get it."

"I'll get it when I go," Kai said.

It took a brief while, but Jay he ultimately said, "Pancakes and lots of them."

She flies off and Jay says, "Bro, wanna go inside?"

"Duh," He said livening up again.

The inside was much better than outside, surprisingly. The floor was made of this expensive-looking marble with gold specks in it. It had almost three stories. There were stores, and restaurants were around them and at the top was the maintenance room. The janitors were cleaning everything up when they came in. They were hurried out and told to stay out for a while longer.

"Let's just go eat. Come on," Kai said, then ran off to the Mess Hall.

In the Mess Hall, there were a ton of people. Some of them were eating eggs and bacon, or pancakes with hot, drippy syrup, just to name a few. At the bottom of the list of meals, there was the meal of the day, hashbrowns and a sausage sandwich with bacon, sausage, and jelly inside.

Jay ran next to Fiona as Kai looked and noticed Fiona didn't get his food, so he went to the counter. He already knew what to get. Every day he got the special unless it was covered in syrup. He hated syrup. He couldn't seem to ever get it off his hands. Plus, it was soo messy and stuck to everything.

As he walked up, the chef said in his thunderous voice, "Well isn't it Kai. Are you getting the special today? Tell me what you think when you are done."

After a few minutes, he came out with my "special plate." Kai brought it to him when he first came here and asked him to clean it. We later decided he would keep it in his backroom. On top, there was a gorgeously stacked sandwich with hashbrowns toasted to perfection. In return, I gave him a few coins.

He quickly responded, "It seems delicious sir. See you later."

"Bye!" He practically yelled back.

Jay was already sitting down by Fiona with his pancakes towering like a steeple. They were already eating.

Kai sat down and ate fast. When he finished, he said, "I'm going to get lunch at The Central and take it to the Hut. Then, I'm going to go thinking in peace, so please... don't follow me."

"Sure," she answered looking up, but he was already long gone.

He took off towards The Plaza. He needed some pleasure food and time to think. He decided to try and get to the new terrace on the third floor of The Central. He walked past the seemingly endless restaurants and found the Sushi Gen. Kai didn't want to cause a mess, so he got sashimi with extra soy sauce. It took him twenty minutes, but he finally found the terrace. It was an employee-only place. Kai didn't care. He needed a place to think. He walked through the door and found a remarkable view waiting just for him.

From here, the clouds were white cotton candy on a magnificent backdrop. It was at this moment he knew it would be his place.
