CHAPTER 9

The heat was unbearable as Honoka, Rin and Nico are panting on the roof. Taichi looks at his smartwatch. '42 degree. Yeah, really hot if you ask me' thinks Taichi. "I think it is the best if we don't practise today," said Nozomi. "Yeah, the heat will cook us off especially shortie," said Taichi. "Shut up!" yelled Nico. "Hey, let's go to the beach," said Honoka. "Where that come from?" asked Taichi. "Yeah, why didn't I think about that? Let's head to the beach," said Honoka. "How are we going to do that?" asked Umi. Honoka looks around and pulls Kotori aside. "When is your next pay?" asked Honoka. "Honoka, are you expect Kotori to pay for all that?" asked Umi. "Well...." trait Honoka. She looks towards Maki that stands on the stairs beside Taichi. "Oh hey Maki, you're rich. I bet your family has a beach house," said Honoka. "We do but....." Honoka grabs her shoulder. "Can we stay there pretty please?" asked Honoka. "No...wait a minute, I can just....." trailed Maki. "She's right." They look at Eli. "We can't impose on her family like that," said Eli. "Yeah, that's true," said Honoka. The red haired pianist looks at the other members give her puppy-dog eye. She sighs. "Fine, I'll ask my parent. I see if we can stay," said Maki. The other cheer. 

Few hours later, Maki and Taichi (unwillingly) stand in front of Maki's parent. "You're want to use our beach house for your camping trip?" asked Dr. Nishikino. "Yes, daddy," said Maki. Her mother looks at the dark brown haired guy. "Are you following them?" asked Mrs. Nishikino. "Yes," said Maki. "No," said Taichi. "You're not coming?" asked Dr. Nishikino. "No. Got called from the hospital about a patient that has disease that against one of my research so I need to do research about it. Beside, that camping trip is for Idol Research Club member AKA Muses so let them have fun there," said Taichi. "How long will you be doing that?" asked Mrs. Nishikino. "Few hours. Days the most," said Taichi. "I wish you can join us," said Maki. "Don't worry. It will be next time," said Taichi.

The next day, all the members including the male are at the train station. "Wait, we can't say sempai?" asked Honoka. "It's been bothering me for quite a while now. That kind of thing is important but when we perform as a group, we can't get ourselves caught up with those formalities," said Eli. "That's a good point. I just find myself just giving in with my the older girls has to say," said Umi. "Well, I never experience that kind of treatment," said Nico. "That's not surprising at all. We never thought of you as upperclassmen," said Rin. "If I'm not older than you then what am I?" asked Nico. "A freshman," said Rin. "A grade schooler maybe," said Honoka. "I thought you were a child mascot," said Nozomi. "The hell, is that even a thing?" asked Nico, angry. "Shortie," said Taichi with a smirk. "Shut up!" yelled Nico. "Why don't we ignore the honorific starting right now? Honoka, starts with you," said Eli. Taichi looks back at his smartphone, letting the others begin to call each other without sempai. "Okay everyone, time to go," said Nico as the others head towards the gate. Taichi and Maki hug as the red haired pianist join the group. He smiles as he heads out.

As the girls arrive at the beach house, both of them in awe on how big the house is. As they put their bags inside the room, they head down for another meeting.

Meanwhile, few hours later, Taichi heads out from the lab with a yellowish purple liquid inside the small tube. He heads towards the patient at the far side and inject the liquid inside the body. He wipes his sweats. "I'm done after i input the data and watch the progress of the patient," said Taichi. "How long will it takes to see the result?" Taichi looks at Dr. Nishikino that walks in. "Few days at the most since it is up to the patient's body," said Taichi. "You should get rest then. Let me supervise the patient," said Dr. Nishikino. "It's okay. After all, I need to finish my research," said Taichi.

Meanwhile, back to the vacation house, Maki puts her right hand on her dark red smartwatch on her left wrist.

*Flashback*

She looks at her fiance that puts the dark red smartwatch on her left wrist. "I create this watch to help you contact with me and also send SOS signal to me when you're in trouble. So don't worry because I'll be there when you need me," said Taichi.

*End flashback*

She blushes. 'When he learn to trust, he will show his other side than only close people know about' thinks Maki. "He is sure something." Maki looks at Nozomi that walks towards her. She looks back at the ocean. "Yeah. He is special," said Maki. "Just a reminder, there will be some girls that after his heart like you do but with different reason," said Nozomi. "What do you mean?" asked Maki. Nozomi just smiles. "Taichi is one of a kind person that when he loves, he loves through the heart. That's why there will be girls that will after his heart either genuinely or just want to use him," said Nozomi. Maki looks at the others that walk towards them. "It will be up for him  to accept or not," said Maki.
