"Look, mamma! I think I see the Navigators boat!"
"I told you boy, keep yourself away from that man. He's nothing but trouble."
"Everyone, it's the Navigator! Let's met him at the docs!"
I sailed my way to the docs. I could always here the yelling of the children every time I pulled in.
They loved the stories I told them. The children also came running because sometimes I had some gifts from my adventures. It was first come, first serve.
The parents of these children did not fancy me, though.
The children brought me their fathers old newspapers so I could make hats and boats for them. The boys loved it, as well as the girls. I made a ton of boats every time I came upon the shore. Why? Because the children would always try to make them float in the water. They would try every tactic they new to make it float, but as you can guess, it never worked. Whenever I saw them trying to make it float, it always reminded me of my days as a little boy. Sheltered, unable to explore the world around me.
"Mr. Navigator, do you have a new story to tell us?" A little girl asked, tugging on my shirt. "Well, of course! Don't I always?" I sat down and leaned against a pole attached to the dock. The children sat down as well.
"When I left the docks, about 2 weeks ago, there was something specious about the weather." The children stared up at me in awe. I continued. "About 5 miles off the shore, the wind started to blow strongly, and it started to rain. As I looked off into the distance, I had to hold on strongly to a rope, because the boat was rocking back and forth."
The children looked up with big eyes.
"The waves hit the side of my boat, making loud and terrible noises...!" I clapped my hands for special effects. "But I sailed on. I thought to myself, 'I cannot turn back, I will not be a coward!'" They laughed. "Another few hours later, I could see lighting touch the oceans surface, while i heard thunder. It was very dark now, and the moon was not visible, from all the clouds. So I went down into my cabin and decided to get some rest, for surviving in that storm was tiring, with the salt water burning your eyes, and freezing from the cold water."
"oh, what happened next?" A boy shouted. "As I fell, asleep, The rocking ceased, and the thunder could be heard no more. The next morning, it was sunny, the sea was calm, and everything was peaceful." I ended.
"Whoa.. The Navigator is so amazing!"
"Thats right, the Navigator always finds his way back home'" I heard a familiar voice. I looked behind the children.
A woman with long brown hair was looking at me.
"Katie?"
