MISHTI BIRTHDAY

Part 3

On the way back both Mishti and Abir were lost in each others thoughts. It was amazing that somehow they managed to not talk or see each other for 2 months, but these few hours that they were away from each other seemed like torture. Kunal noticed his bhai was awfully quiet. Since Kuhu was already asleep in the backseat, he dedcided to ask his bhai, 'Are you okay Bhai, since the time we found you and Mishti, you have been very quiet' did something happen between you two? 'No, Nanko, what could have happened, I am just tired, that's all.' 

Kunal: ' Are you sure? By the way you didn't tell me how you found Mishti? And why did you go looking for her, her bf was there, why didn't he go? I feel like you still have feelings for her.'

Abir: ' No there isn't anything like that, and i didn't go looking for her, i was walking off my hangover and i heard her screaming so i helped her, that's all. My feelings for her haven't changed.' He didn't really lie in the last part, he loved her then and he still loves her now, he just couldn't say that to Kunal. He put his glasses back on and was lost in thoughts of Mishti again.

In the bus, Nannu started questioning Mishti. Nannu: ' So will you tell me, Miss teapot, what happened between you and your heart specialist? Did he tell you he loves you? Was our NishMish attack successful? Come on, why are you so quiet?'

Mishti didn't know what to tell Nannu, on one hand, Abir had said that no one should know about them, but on the other hand, Nannu helped her at every step of the way, he is her oldest friend, how could she hide anything from him? So she told him everything. Nannu was happy for her, but his expression changed. 'Mishti I am happy that you won the challenge and i lost, and i told you I don't understand this saat janmo, saat kasmo wala love, but from what i hear about it from you, it seems like your partner should stick with you through thick and thin, no matter what, he should trust you. Did Abir not trust you enough to tell you the truth?'

Mishti knew he was right, it was all she could think about when he told her the truth, but he didn't want to dwell on it. She didn't want to think that their relationship was so weak that someone came along and broke it, but she had questions she needed to ask Abir.  She didn't tell him about Kunal as she didn't want to create unnecessary problems in his family, not because she didn't trust him, but the fact that he hid this from her and chose to keep her away from him mean that he didn't trust her or their love? Did he doubt that they could get through it together. He always told her that the truth is beautiful, yet he hid so much from her. Did it mean that their relationship lacked trust? She remembered his words, ' jahaan trust nahi, waha pyaar nahi hota.' Her face fell and tears welled up in her eyes, 'Does Abir not trust me, and if he doesn't, does that mean that he never loved me either?' The past 2 months, she refused to believe even for a second that he didn't love her, no matter what he said, she always knew there was a reason for his behavior, but she didn't dwell on the reason, all she needed to believe what that he loved her. But now that she knew the reason, all these other questions came up in her mind and she started doubting herself, her love, everything. Nannu noticed her dismay and quickly tried to cheer her up, 'Hey miss teapot, don't listen to me, what do i know about all this love stuff. I am just happy for you that you got what you wanted and on your birthday no less.' Mishti forced a smile on her face, but her mind and heart were not at peace.

(At Maheswari residence):

BM: 'Chalo sab kuch tayar hai, Mishti is on her way. She will be so surprised. Its so good to have our daughter back home Shaurya ki Bauji.

BP: It really is, i have missed her so much over the past few months, but i knew she needed to go so that she can move past her pain and become the strong Mishti i know she is. 

Varsha: 'Maa, shes here, jaldi chup jaa aur lights ko bandh karo.'

Mishti and Nannu walk in and wonder why the lights are off, just then BM, BP, Varsha, Shaurya and Jasmeet chachi jump out and scream Happy Birthday Mishti. Mishti was stunned. The house was decorated with so many lights and colourful drapings and in the middle of it all was a huge cake. Her eyes welled up, thinking how lucky she was to have such a loving family. They all hugged her and wished the very best for her. 

BP: ' Mishti, we are so happy to have you back, we missed you so much and we get to spend this day with you. ' (Seeing her tears) ' Beta, are you okay? Kuch hua hai? '

M: 'Nahi BP, im just so lucky to have my family with me.'

BP: ' Is this a matter to cry over? We are always with you no matter what. Now come lets cut the cake and afterwards you can have your favourite Kitchdi, which i made for with my own hands'

The entire family gathered and Mishti cut the cake and fed a piece to everyone. It was a picturesque moment for her surrounded by the ones she loved and those that loved her. In that moment she tried to forget about all her questions and doubts over her relationship with Abir and be happy, but somehow they kept creeping in.

Rajvansh House:

Abir, Kunal and Kuhu arrive home. Mami was most excited to see Kuhu. ' Oh my mother, teacherji, you are back, im so happening, i mean happy.' 

Kuhu: ' I missed you too Mami.'

Nannu, Ketki and Parul Maasi came in as well.

Nannu: 'Hey Bro(Abir), you are back. Kaise ho?'

Abir: ' Bro, you know everything is awesome.' For the first time in 2 months, these words had some truth to them as now he finally told Mishti the truth.

Nannu, Masi, Ketki and Mami look at him weirdly. A: ' Whats up guys, why are you looking at me like that?' 

Nannu:' Bata nahi bro, but today when you said this, it seemed different than normal, it sounded more real.'

Abir: ' Oh come on bro, its always real. Anyways, it was a long drive back and i am tired so I'm gonna rest in my room.' He was waiting impatiently to call Mishti and talk to her, there was so much left unsaid, that he couldnt wait any longer. On the way to his room, he ran into Meanu (Maa), he didnt bother to stop and talk, but she stopped him.

Meanu: 'Abir, tum teek ho? I tried to video call you, but i saw some girl's earring on the phone there, i was on my way to the resort but my car broke down and it was too late to come. Were you with a girl? who was she?'

A: (thinking thank goodness she didnt see Mishti's face)' No Maa, i was not with any girl, i picked up the call mistakenly and was chatting to one of the staff there, it was probably her earring you saw. Now i am going to my room, i am very tired'

Meanu: ' Why do i feel like you are hiding something from me Abir, whatever it is I will find out.'

Once he was away from everyone in his room, he removed his shades, and locked his door. He tried to call Mishti but she never answer, tried again and still no answer. 'Oh come on Mishti, i am dying to talk to you and you aren't even answering my calls.'

Mishti saw him calling but she couldnt answer his call in front of everyone, so she finally made an excuse and went upstairs to her room. She called him back, impatient to talk to him and hear his voice. As much as she had all these doubts, the one thing she couldn't deny was that she loved her Ajeeb Rajvansh a lot. On the first ring he answered her call.

A: 'Mishti, i was calling you for so long and you didn't answer, you know i needed to hear your voice. Don't tell me you were so busy with nannu, that you didn't have time to answer my calls.'

M: ' Come on, Mr Ajeeb Rajvansh, you know now that nannu and I are just friends, so why are you getting jealous?'

A: 'I know that, but it doesn't mean i have to like your closeness with him. Anyway I miss you Angry Chorni and i want to meet you.'

M: ' Actually Abir, i also need to meet you, there is a lot of things we need to talk about, but I can't meet you now. I just got home and if i go out again, they will have questions which i can't answer.'

A:(sadly)' I understand, but if you can sneak out to meet me later, then let me know, otherwise we will meet tomorrow.'

BM calling Mishti: ' Mishti, Mishti, where are you? Come, we are going to eat now.'

M: ' I have to go now, but i will let you know when we can meet.Bye Abir.'

Mishti needed to meet Abir as much as he did to clear her mind and heart of all these questions and to determine if her faith in her love was right all along or she believed in something that was never there......
